First, the context of our visit so it helps you evaluate if this experience applies to you or not: Every year, we travel together with my (extended) family for a week (15 adults, 5 kids - 0 to 6 yo). We rented the whole house with 5 units but you can rent each individual apartment unit with 2 bedrooms and a small kitchen. Having said that, the house couldn't have been more perfect if we had designed it ourselves. The 5 units gave every family sub-unit the privacy needed. We put together all the picknick tables under a massive oak and have the most delightful lunch/dinner spot for the whole group. The place has swings, a sand-pit and a slide. Brilliant for the kids. It also has animals (2 sheep, a goat, a rabbit and chickens). You are encouraged to feed them with the organic leftovers of your lunch/dinner. This small thing became the favorite task for the week of many of the small ones. There is also an orchard. The owner will encourage you to use it for your cooking. We had amazing tomatoes and the tastiest watermelons. Have the kids pick their own food is an experience in itself. And last, the pool is great. I must say it was so great we didn't leave the place at all for 3 days! When we did, you can pick the beach that suits you: Close but not great in Malgrat (with train tracks), big and nice in Blanes and lovely coves like Cala Sant Francesc. Take your pick. There are also 2 waterparks close by. We went to the closest (10 min.) that may not win many awards but for small kids (2-5 yo) is brilliant. The cons: If bugs bother you a lot, this is not the place for you. In particular we had tons of wasps. A lot. Also tons of ants that will walk into the apartments uninvited. It was not a big deal for us, and it shouldn't be totally unexpected with the location, but good to be aware. PS I forgot. There is an extra building with a bigger kitchen for bigger groups (like us). This also includes a massive table for 20 (perfect!) that we used the only night when it rained. As I said, the whole place was like designed for us.
