My husband and I stayed here while hiking in the Pyrenees. Our room was very nice. It was clean and quiet. I was very happy we were able to get a room. 
The tomato salad at the attached restaurant was amazing.  Generous serving of ripe tomatoes with a balsamic dressing. Really wonderful. 

Hostal La Fuen is a family-owned country hotel, with an attached separately owned family-style restaurant in the Valle de Bielsa in the Pyrenees, at the gates of the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido.

We were a group of 5 women in our 50s. We were hiking a long stretch of the Haute Route Pyrenees, from Heas, France, to Parzan. This stretch was two days' hiking into one due to a hut having burned down and not replaced. It was billed as 25km (15mi) but turned out to be 18+. We started out at 0715 and made it down the Bielsa Valley to the dirt road in the last light of the day around 21:00. I had cell service for the first time and with my limited Spanish was able to call the hotel and tell them we would be late. We thought we were near a parking lot, so I estimated arrival in one hour. It took us 1.5 hours to get there, arriving at the hotel at 22:30 in the dark. MapMyWalk showing 18 miles (30km).

The restaurant was all lit up, people finishing their dinners. Pepe (likely the owner of the hotel) was very kind to us, his eyes opened wide when we said we hiked 30km starting from France over the mountains into Parzan. The hotel owners had asked the separately owned restaurant to stay open for us. We were so grateful, dropped our bags, went down and ordered a delicious dinner-- my  birthday dinner, celebrating our epic day hiking from France to Spain.
I was expecting Hostal La Fuen to be a hostel but it was a modern country hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, perfect for our needs, with amenities. In the morning the restaurant next door had eggs, bacon and espresso. Their motto: "Everything made with love." 

We decided we couldn't complete the next two days' hiking itinerary so opted to rest in the town of Benasque in the next valley. The restaurant staff called a taxi for us and told us the price, 120 Euro for 5 people for 1.5 hours' drive- more than reasonable. We checked out and they let us hang out at the restaurant patio tables waiting for our ride. Again, they treated us with kindness, everyone we met was so kind to us. They took great care of us in our hour of need and I thanked them in my limited Spanish. Incredibly beautiful area, great spot for hiking in the Bielsa Valley. Highly recommend.

We stayed for one night without pre-booking and paid 50 EUR for a double room.  Our room was large and tidy, although quite dark (we were on the back of the building, surrounded by trees), and had a small balcony.  The bathroom was also spacious with a good shower over the bath.  Service at the front desk was efficient enough, given that Spanish isn't our first language.

There are restaurants and supermarkets within easy walking distance.

A basic, no-frills stay - but fine for a break from our tent!

Perfect country Hotel

My lovely wife and I spent one night at this hotel, a rare night indoors while hiking the Pyrenean Haute Route. It's a fairly simple place but clean & comfortable enough with a nice hot shower and a bathtub to soak in after a long day in the mountains. A bargain at €50 a night, excluding breakfast. The restaurant next door is pretty decent and good value too.

They demanded we pay in cash and pay extra for breakfast compared to our Spanish friends who paid by card (breakfast included).
 Also I mistakenly left my mapcase ,map, compass and notes in the restaurant and it disappeared. We tracked the missing articles to one of the waiters - a Romanian -Alin who has failed to return them despite e mails and telephone calls.
Sleep and eat somewhere else in Parzan.
