This was a lovely stay in a spectacular part of Spain. Ferran is a wonderful host. We got weather updates and suggestions about where to go. The village is tiny but that doesn’t matter as Ferran is a great cook! The food was delicious. If you are looking for the real Spain, this is it!

I can't say much more beyond what has already been said here. Would have loved to have stayed more days than just three. I can't understand why more American tourists have not made the effort to visit this area, let alone stay at this amazing B&B. European tourists seem to know about the beauty of this tranquil area of Spain, but sadly more Americans seem to gravitate towards the big cities and tourist attractions and miss out on some of the most beautiful countryside in Spain.

We had a lovely time staying with Mireia and Ferran and the stunning views were only topped up by the couples’ hospitality and Ferran’s amazing cooking! We did suggest opening a restaurant...
The place is ideally located for hikes and Ferran has been brilliant at recommending beautiful walks. As a bonus, we even had a Nordic bath to relax our muscles after a long hike. Definitely recommended!!

Lovely and very peaceful place. Paradise for birdwatchers with vultures visiting the valley every morning. Good trails for hiking in the area. Very friendly, caring and helpful hosts. Wonderful organic food served with love.

Birdwatching in Spain could not have been more special. We stayed at Mireia and Ferran's for 3 nights and every morning woke to a busy bird feeder. Breakfasts were ample and delicious, dinners were locally sourced and delicious. Their homemade chocolate ice cream was memorable in itself! Rooms were large and comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. Great shower! A must stay for anyone who wants to get away from it all for a few days.... or a few weeks!

What a pleasure to stay in Mireia and Ferran's lovely old house in the tiny village of Charo with its simple but comfortable rooms, and excellent food served in the kitchen/dining room, sharing the table with the other guests and the hosts. 

We were served a wholesome, delicious three-course vegetarian dinner each night with local ingredients and some produce from the organic vegetable garden, accompanied by an excellent local organic wine.  Breakfast was plentiful and included local cheeses, home-made cakes and jams, freshly squeezed juice, and as much toast as you could eat.  I am sure that nobody has ever left the table hungry at Ochardinet!

What I really liked about this hotel is that Mireia and Ferran make you feel very much at home, as well as providing lots of local information to ensure that you get the best out of your stay.

We stayed here for one night whilst touring the area.

Located in a tiny ancient village up a twisty road it has great views of the surrounding area.

Walk the narrow dirt track to the car parking first to check that you are happy taking your car there.

The house is full of character and our room was a good sized double.

There is WiFi and it did work in our room, but by all accounts not everywhere in the property because of the thick stone walls.

We booked a DBB package and all of the food was nicely prepared. There was no choice for dinner and you ate with the other guests and the owners.

They do make a point of sourcing local and organic goods.

The property is definitely unique in the sense that there were unpleasant surprises at every turn. The property is located on the side of a remote hill approximately 1 km up a treacherous one lane path. The signage to the property was nonexistent. Offsite parking was approximately 500 m awayThankfully, we had the foresight to purchase water, bread, cheese, and a bottle of wine in the closest town about 30 minutes away. If we had chosen not to we would have been forced to eat at the property. Meal "service" began at 9 pm and consisted of soup at €17 per person ...no other option! There are no stores or shops within 10 km of this property. Basically once you arrive at this "hostel" you are a hostage. The tiny room, though clean, featured a single tiny window facing a barn. Unfortunately, one must crouch down one's  knees in order to look out the window as it reached only 1 meter from the floor. We made the huge mistake of opening the window. Immediately, the room was flooded with aggressive flies forcing us to dine outside; unfortunately, once outside we were attacked by hordes of ravenous and determined cats. Hence we were forced to return  to our tiny spartan room to eat our provisions.There was only one small chair in the room, forcing one of us to sit on the bed.And then the fun part… Trying to sleep was virtually impossible. There is absolutely NO soundproofing whatsoever throughout the auberge. Constant noisy people shouting, coughing, sneezing, flushing toilets,
