Fantastic
229 reviewsI saw this hotel when I was in Benidorm a couple of years ago and searched for it on Google Earth. Found it and also found Easyjet do a package holiday there. We paid a small supplement for a superior room and for breakfast. We got room 305 on the third floor. We had a wardrobe with shelving and drawers, a dressing table, a small fridge and a safe ( 10€ per week extra) No kettle as per usual in Spanish hotels. Plenty of power sockets. Nice modern shower room with an excellent shower. On Benidorm scale it’s a small hotel. Seems recently refurbed and is light, bright and very cleanly kept. Like a very good chain hotel in the UK. We knew the location in a broad pedestrianised street right in the middle of the old town, it was ideal. Just a few minutes from the Balcon and the sea front. Multiple bars and restaurants right outside. The hotels own bar terrace is good too. The top 2 floors appeared to be apartments with larger balconies. There’s a lovely modern roof terrace on the 8th floor, well furnished and with a bar ( not open when we were there but they were adding finishing touches so obviously soon ) The restaurant is in the basement so is artificially lit and got very busy at the weekend. Much less so in the week. Breakfast offered a decent choice of cooked and cold choices plus cereals, fruit and yoghurt. Weak point was the eggs. Always rubbery. And the coffee machine as usual dispensed dismal coffee. Tea bags not good either. But minor points really. I drank water! 90% of guests are Spanish. Receptionists spoke good English. Rooms cleaned daily and towels replaced daily. Air con worked well when needed at night. The balcony doors effectively exclude the street noise at night so we did use air con briefly. BBC 1&2 on tv. Two lifts but we never had to wait long. We walked miles every day exploring and took a bus to Altea for a couple of €. The tram is better and much quicker but it’s a bit of a trek to the station at the back of Benidorm. The tram does give easy links to other places too like Calpe. The weather was hot! Cool in the shade and cool after sunset. Watch the sun set from the Balcon bars. Lovely. Excellent holiday, hotel and the best location. All in all a great stay right in the middle of the old town.
