Hostal El Patio

Dad has lived in the Costa del sol for 20 odd years now but took I'll in January and needs 24hour care so is in a nursing home and this is closest town to it.we try to come over as often as we can to visit but flights accomadation etc is costly.first time we've tried a hostal as opposed to a hotel.didn't expect much just a bed and shower. It's situated in the centre of town handy for cafes taxis supermarket etc.Our room was on ground level of the courtyard which is small and narrow with wrought iron stairs to their upper rooms and a small table and chairs under the stairs. Our room had two single beds pushed together but sheets were sorted so you had your own bed we had air conditioning and overhead fan and en suite shower .clean towels every day and night wear laid out after the room was cleaned. Our hosts were not Spanish but east European who couldn't speak much english but tried their best and were very friendly the lady even made me a coffee one morning.we had WiFi and freeview tv but Spanish tv The cost of this room was much cheaper than hotels and much more central which made our daily taxi bills less too. Our home flights were late evening and we were able to keep the room on for 10euros.and the owner took us to the airport for less than normal taxi fare again saving us money. So if your looking for a no frills clean place to lay your head you get this and more at El Patio definitely value for money
