This place is runned  by Rose, is heaven on earth, the lodge is on a hill, the rooms are nice clean and every evening you hear an orchestra of frogs, the view is magnificent. An outstanding breakfast! We loved it and most certainly will return!

A magnificent setting with spectacular views! The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous..The rooms are comfortable with all of the necessary amenities. The breakfast was very good and caters for all tastes. A return visit to the area and Lalapanzi can't come soon enough!

Our experience was awesome. The location is fantastic - a combination of the peace of the forest in the mountains and the view of the ocean. It is also close enough to drive to get on to the wine route to visit the famous wine farms around Stellenbosch and Franshhoek. The hospitality and staff are fantastic and served great breakfasts and really went out of their way to pamper us. Excellent!!!

We were a group of 11 people from around the globe that arranged a reunion and held it at Lalapanzi. Marie-helen and Rose working out a menu for us that gave our international guests a taste of some South African meals including a braai (BBQ). Food was very well catered, recommendations for bus charters and things to do in the day were excellent. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There is a lot of attention to detail. The views from the estate are stunning and there are lovely walks around. Thank you to all the team for a wonderful 4 day stay!

We stayed at Lalapanzi Lodge for three nights. Staff were so lovely and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and the bed super comfortable. We had sundowners every night on the porch outside of our room and the views over False Bay were just stunning!

One of our most memorable parts of our trip. We stayed in Phezulu and it was everything we expected and so much more. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and hands down the best bed and sleep I’ve ever had!  Don’t get me started on that view! We cannot wait for our next trip back!

This is our second visit to Lalapanzi and undoubtedly won't be our last.  We stayed for three weeks in the guest suite which ticked each and every one of our boxes.  The accommodations itself are splendidly appointed and the views, especially at sunset to die for.  The availability of a BBQ (braai) is a super touch and we had a couple of outing with that.  To sit with a glass of cold white wine watching the sun go down over Gordon's Bay is a great memory
Rose and her team make everyone feel extremely welcome and absolutely nothing is too much trouble.  Breakfasts, taken on the balcony with super views of the grounds and the Bay start the day off well.  It is a delight to chat with Rose and the girls and of course Marie-helene.  Lola, her lovely dog is usually not far behind.

It truly was a wonderful, relaxing stay at Lalapanzi Lodge.  Everything is so thoughtfully done at this establishment.  From the very beginning the communication is detailed but filled with useful information and suggestions to make your stay great.  Our arrival was met with warmth and friendliness and our accommodation was absolutely wonderful.  A chalet that is so beautifully decorated.  The kitchen is brilliantly equipped and it really felt like a home from home.  The view is absolutely outstanding and the silence incredible.  We had loadshedding at one point - totally unexpected and the generator came on and we didn't even realise.  There's a small bar fridge by the pool filled with cool drinks, beers and wine and works on an honour system.  The pool itself has some of the best views as well.  The walks are well explained and documented.  The breakfasts are outstanding and the service is so attentive and caring.  I really, truly cannot recommend Lalapanzi Lodge more highly and really hope to go back someday very soon.

Our hosts offered a warm welcome and we enjoyed a wonderful peaceful stay in a very well appointed lodge set in the forest and offering fantastic views towards the sea. The lodge is vey close to a modern shopping mall where a full range of food and other products are readily available. Some prestigious vineyards are also within very easy reach.

We really enjoyed our one night stay in this lovely lodge.   The view of the bay is stunning.  The room was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable and breakfast was excellent.  Rose looked after us beautifully.   Thank you very much indeed.   
We will definitely return if we can manage to get back to Cape Town.  Highly recommended.

We had a last minute change of plans to stay at Lalapanzi and so glad we did! Rose and the staff were brilliant and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet, whether relaxing on the terrace outside our room, sitting by the pool or hiking the trails on the property. Breakfast on the upper deck was lovely, stunning views over False Bay. Would definitely recommend if looking for accommodation in this area!

We stayed 7 days in January 2024.  The staff and service were great! They made us feel like home the moment we arrived. The breakfast is excellent and we also enjoyed dinner one evening during our stay. Quiet and safe, easy to enjoy a walk around the area.  The property manager and Rose deserve 5 star for their outstanding hospitality!

My husband and I are from the US and stayed at the Lalapanzi Lodge to be close to family wedding festivities taking place at the winery down the road (Idiom Wines).   After several busy days in Cape Town, it was the perfect place to retreat and relax,  enjoy the stunning beauty of the False Bay area, and tour nearby sites such as the Somerset wineries and Hermanus.

The accommodations were lovely and contained everything we needed.  Rose and staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.  Each day, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast out on the balcony of the lodge and were treated to postcard-worthy views.

Additionally, we took advantage of the massage services (Xandri was wonderful!) and spent our free time exploring the surrounding acres of trails, dams, and game reserves. Highly recommend Lalapanzi Lodge!
