My special request for a room equipped with a table and chair was accepted and confirmed before my arrival. Room was comfortable and breakfast buffet was delicious. All went well and in a friendly way

Very good location of the hotel at pedestrian zone of Nitra town. Hotel is placed in a historical building, so it's very special. Rooms are nice and clean, staff is polite and helpfull. We are not used to go to the same place twice, but this was our 2nd stay and not the last I hope. I would not recommend for disabled becouse of no lift and many stairs to the rooms...

We visited Antrium for food in the afternoon.
Good location, on the high street.The restaurant has a hotel rooms upstairs.
Fast service. English Menus. Cheap.
We will come back to eat on our next visit to Nitra.

Visited The Restaurant. Good Food

We recently spent a week in Nitra for the World Junior Ball Hockey Championships.  The hotel Nitra was our landing spot and although it is by no mean luxurious, it totally was fine. Rooms are not large but were well maintained by the cleaning staff.  There was a small bar fridge which was definitely useful and the air conditioning was much needed as it was very hot that week.  The hotel is situated near the town square and on the pedestrian strip.  There are many good restaurants only a few minutes away.

The breakfast area is very unique as the room retracts providing an outdoor atmosphere.  We only ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was quite fine.

Our only issue was with the night staff as he was very rude to many of our group as we often returned late to the hotel (midnight) following the late evening games and a refreshment or two before returning.

Nothing Fancy--But served us well

Well I find this a little difficult to write because the staff were very nice & hospitable. My lady originates from Nitra & it's very likely we'll be staying in hotels here again, but NOT in Hotel Atrium ! Why ??? Because the room we were in was verrry noisy, above the kitchen & bar. Kitchen staff making much noise after finishing work in the late evening, drunken laughter at hours of the early morning. Bashing & crashing of crockery & utensils in the early morning preparing for breakfast ! Mosquitoe bites all over (probably originating from the stagnant water in a trough beneath our window on the ground floor, (possibly a fish pond (with no fish) or a water bed for plants (with no plants)). Okay the rooms & dining room were clean, but soooo outdated, was like stepping back into the 1950's. In our bathroom the wood around the doorway was rotten & peeling from years of damp from the shower. My lady had to call me each time she wished to use the shower because the lever to operate it was so stiff ! Fortunately she is not afraid of wildlife which was good because she disposed of the beetles from the bathroom on her own accord, through the window ! Hmmm, I thought a toaster was meant to be a labour saving device ..... not here ! If you wanted toast with breakfast you had to hold down the lever until it was ready ! The toaster looked like the cheapest available from Tesco 15 years ago !!! Breakfast was nice but strangely there was plenty of this one day & none of that ... then the next day there was none of this & plenty of the other !!! If you get my drift !!! There was free Wi-Fi available but I didn't try it to be honest ! There's free parking (supposedly secure) a few metres from the hotel, but in a dark corner behind other buildings which is just inviting no-gooders to empty your car ! I'm surprised our car wasn't broken into because after our first night there we discovered hundreds of paper tissues strewn around (your guess) and much drunken vomit !!! Disgusting ! Not the hotels fault, but would you risk parking your car in such an area? We didn't take lunch or dinner at this hotel because we were visiting family so I cannot comment on the food quality, but I reiterate the waitress & reception staff were very hospitable ! So I hope they find a better place of employment !!! Nitra is a lovely town for a short stop-over or if you need accommodation whilst visiting family or for work reasons, but look elsewhere until Hotel Atrium is modernised & kitchen staff show some respect to their guests !
