Jardin Marron

We have been the 3rd time at Jardin Marron and it was delightful once again. This quiet place has a wonderful view over the ocean and is very close to the unique Ance Lazio. The lovely hosts Deidre and Sebastiano fulfil every wish of comfort. Ensure to try some of Deidres delicious homemade dish. It's haute cuisine! We especially enjoyed the unexpected visits of their lovely cats  and dogs. The surroundings and villas are very clean and very well maintained. Parking and washing machine completes all your needs. For us it's always like coming home.

Our first thought when we arrived in the upstairs appartement was : WOW! And we were never disappointed. Deidre was extremely friendly and helpful, brought us fresh fruit from her beautiful garden and bus timetables. She even helped us days after we had checked out… The place is really beautiful and clean, perfectly equipped. You get to see the sun rise from your bed through a window that looks like it’s a tv screen ! The garden is magical with lots of birds and flowers. The beach just 1 min away is just as beautiful and empty. Super practical to go to Anse Lazio (just 30 mins by foot or you can take a bus). We recommend 100%

Super location, top service, self- catering but now with the possibility to order meals from the hosts, Sebastiano and Deidre. The food cooked by Deidre is of 5 star quality. We have stayed here many times over the years and hope to stay many more times in the future.

Marie's place is very comfortable, well located, and spotlessly clean.  Marie herself is an excellent hostess, and goes out of her way to be helpful.  We were in the upstairs flat and spent many a relaxing hour gazing at the pure blue sea over the balcony.
We will be back.

Marie thank you for meeting you and for the reason that I spent the most beautiful moments there. You are a wonderful person with a good soul that made us a pleasant stay. Perfect accommodation in Praslin, dream location, huge garden around the guesthouse, beautiful view and superb pontoon. You have peace and privacy, there are only two rooms on the ground floor and one upstairs. The rising here is amazing.There are 3 sunbeds on the pontoon and you have a close beach. Also you have to go behind the pension to see the whole garden. At our apartment, Lazio is a little red bird that has made it a habit and always comes to the window, it is gorgeous. Impeccable cleanliness, I told her that we dont need cleaning at all but she insisted that it needs to be maintained, it is a clean and working person. She arranged everithing in the room, she put all the clothes in their place, arranged the pillows and she made the bed all the time. You have towels for beach, bath and face. Even if you forget your toothpaste you will find it here. More toilet papers if you need is in the wardrobe under the sink. I brought with me shampoon and shawer gel, liquid soap you find there. You have large storage wardrobe, large shower cabin, bidet, large and comfortable bed with high mattress and many pillows. Comfortable sofa in the living room. Equipped kitchen with all you need, a blender, a toaster, coffee maker and a large water bottle. She helps you with all you need, I wrote her an email before arriving. She can arrange to rent a car, boat trip, or anything else.

Me and my wife spent 12 wonderfull hot days & nights at ground floor in Jardin Marron. Without rain at the end of March 2018, while in our county was freezing. Nice, tranquill self catering accommodation, nice location, nice garden. Quiet and nice beach few steps from villa. Quiet probably because of not possibility parking nearby. Of course, if you rent a car, parking in Jardin Marron is possible. Consult car renting prior arriving with Marie, the owner. She can get you very good recommendations or arrange it. We didn´t need a car, to bus stop it is about 200m from villa and bus transport is very cheap (7 Scr per person) and frequent, Unfortunatelly last is going about 18:25 from BSA Jetty (ferry, Route 61, to Anse Boudin) to villa, then you need to go by foot (head light recommended) or by taxi. To shop with basic food & drink it is about 400m to left and to PK's @ Pasquiere Restaurant & Gastropub the same, to right. (But if you want, you can cook yourself in villa).To Anse Lazio by foot it is about 1/2 of hour. Nice views to Curieouse Island from lookout in villa garden, we spent there nice evenings and nights with bottle of wine:). If you want to visit Curieuse, you can ask on the way to shop and they can get you there and back for 20 euro per person. Villa is equipped with all necessities we needed, climatization, free wifi was very good during our stay, hot water really no problem in any quantity and cold drinking water from tank in kitchen too. Marie, graceful lady & owner was very kind. She supplied us free with fruits, did cleaning every day and on top of that did BBQ for us (tasty Barracuda). She also let us stay free last day at property till our evening departure. To sum it, best vacation, we have spent on one place. Marie, thank you again and wish to see you sometimes in future.

I stayed in the upstairs apartment for 3 nights and enjoyed the property and Marie so much that I asked to stay another night. The upstairs apartment was booked but Marie let me stay in her 2 bedroom guesthouse and even helped with my bag because I had a sore leg. The apartment had an amazing ocean view from the living room and bedroom. In fact, the bed was arranged to take full advantage of the view. What a way to wake up each morning! The apartment had a fully equipped kitchen with a water tank for drinking. Marie provided a bowl of fresh picked fruit. The living room had a very comfortable settee, TV, radio, and a dining table.  The sliding doors opened to a large lanai. The living room does not have a/c but does have a ceiling fan and with the sliding lanai doors open it was very comfortable. There is a/c in the bedroom as well as a ceiling fan. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower with plenty of hot water. There was a safe in the bedroom.  Marie provided beach towels. The location is great. Right across the street from the ocean. PKs restaurant is one min away. Anse Lazio is about a 5-10 min drive. The gardens are beautiful. There is even a sun deck for lounging. I highly, highly recommend Jardin Marron. Marie is special.

We stayed here for 5 nights for the first leg of our island hopping holiday. Jardin Marron offers clean, comfortable and well equipped accommodation in stunning gardens with amazing views of the Indian Ocean. Marie is the perfect host and couldn't have done any more for us during our stay. She arranged transfers from the airport and to the jetty, booked restaurants for us and arranged transportation for our evenings out. Clifford was our driver on these occasions and he looked after us from start to finish - always on time, very informative, helpful and friendly. We stayed in 3 different accommodations during our holiday and Jardin Marron was undoubtedly the best, largely due to the kind and professional service provided by Marie, not forgetting Clifford. The property is within walking distance of a small store and a number of beaches although car hire would be an advantage for seeing other parts of the island and for visits to restaurants in the evening. Highly recommended.

We stayed here recently. The property has apparently been taken over by new owners. The room was not clean when we arrived (although the bed had been made) and the manager had to run around sweeping, etc. As a result, there was sand and dirt on the floors for the first day. Location is excellent, the unit contained everything necessary for our stay. There is a washing machine but it was full of bedding when we arrived which was not removed until the second day.
The views are great and it is very quiet and relaxing. All in all a very good stay.
