Sheraton Makkah Jabal Al Kaaba Hotel

This is not the most luxurious Sheraton* or the one with the most amenities. It is, however, the best Sheraton* I have ever stayed in. I am a titanium and lifetime platinum member. Last year I spent over 300 days in hotels across the world. The location is not the closest to the Haram, but it is an easy walking distance. It is the people that make this Sheraton* so wonderful. I can’t name them all but whether it was from Mr. Mohamed, Abdullah and housekeeping on the 23rd floor or Mr. Naïf waiting tables in the executive lounge or the restaurant manager Mr. Mohamed all met us with warmth and understanding. They went out of their way to make this a wonderful day. For those that are fortunate enough to use the club lounge, the evening meal is a wonderful combination of local traditional, Arabic food and western. I can’t say enough about how good the food was. Normally, we don’t eat in the lounge, but prefer to take local cuisine However it was so good and so traditional that we stayed in the lounge. The rooms were well equipped, and modern, and we had no problems I highly recommend the hotel and the staff for those who want a home away from home when they are in Makkah
