Spa Bellagio Hotel

I stayed in this hotel during the World Cup, and my impression is that it was interesting to say the least. For starters, it is located behind a strip of commercial locations, so it is a bit hard to find. The reception is a small cubicle in a corner. When we went for check in, a tall security man stood next to us, then took our luggage to show us the room. I was a bit freaked out when we had to walk through a billiard room to get to the elevator down to our room. At this point i did not know what to expect from the room. However, I was pleasantly surprised when we walked into our room and it was very clean, spacious, comfortable. We had a wonderful view if the surrounding hills and buildings on them. Quite nice at night. Later, i discovered they have even nicer rooms on higher floors (the guests in these rooms don’t have to walk through the billiard room). I know because my sister booked a better category room than I did. Breakfast was served in a section of said billiard room, which was converted in the mornings. The breakfast was really good, served by a waitress who was very kind to heat up some outside food when we asked. Overall, the hotel is pretty nice, once you pass the original shock of arrival.
