We stayed at Franz Joseph villa for a break from city madness. The place has free wifi, the staff are really welcoming, especially the receptionist. The rooms are big and the villa is close to all the the landmarks.
It was the perfect minibreak.

Enjoyed it

the rooms are pretty ok if you are the kind of person that doesn't care much about the old furniture or if you don't spend much time in it. nobody entered the room for 3 days while we stayed there so there was no cleaning done. also the room was not very clean and the carpet could us a vacuum. The towels were a bit weird .The Plus is that the villa is placed in the center of the city and also near the ski slopes - what actually interested us.

on the other hand the staff in the restaurant was very nice and helpful. also the food was very good and quite cheap.

pretty ok - good location and good food

We stayed here with our children in June 2014.  The location was perfect for us because it was right next to the Vatra Dornei Park.  It was the perfect place to let our kids run around and enjoy the squirrels and birds that eat right out of your hand.  The service staff were all very friendly and accommodating.  The only complaints I had were the condtions of the rooms.  We stayed with family and had three separate rooms.  Each of them smelled musty.  One was so bad, that we requested another room.  The towels and blankets all had the same musty smell, like they were unclean.  We requested new towels, but they came with the same smell.  Nice location and decent price if you can handle the musty smell.

Great location & Service

This hotel was a big disapointement. The hotel is very old and dirty and there is no heating at the evening. The water in the shower are not hot enough . 
From the afternoon there is no one in the reception.      


Bad experince

We booked a room for a one night stay during a weekend and the front desk employee refused to accommodate us at the facility mentioning as excuse an involuntary overbooking. However they chose to accommodate other persons that have made reservations for two days stays.
