Casa Maxim

We stayed here for three nights and were pleased with this accommodation. The room and bathroom were clean and large. The rooms have cable tv and an a/c unit however we didn't have to use ours as the windows have mosquito net and it is more pleasant to sleep with the windows open. Number of mosquitoes in our room at Casa Maxim - zero. If you self cater there is on the terrace a kitchen for guest use equipped with basic cooking utensils as well as fridges on each of the floors. Please note that guests should clean the kitchen after they use it. The terrace is shaded by grape vine and is a social place with groups of guests chatting late into the night. This could be an issue if you are noise sensitive and want to turn in early, especially if your room is on the ground floor. If this is the case my advice is to request a back room on one of the higher floors. The only real complaint I have is that the wifi signal was weak in our room but this could easily be remedied if the owners choose to invest in some additional routers. As of July 2017 we paid 120 ron for a double room with bathroom.
