3 hour drive from otopeni Bucharest airport , manager of hotel collected us at a cost of £200 return for 4 reasonable pric
Welcome drink on arrival staff very helpful and friendly until Saturday night there was no water in hotel couldn't shower flush toilet wash etc staff weren't bothered , water came back on Sunday about 11 am as we left, no apology or anythin
Hotel was clean , breakfast was ok , no butter , scrambled egg and hot dog sausages but no sausages on last day , other than that salami toast cereal 

Not bad

Bad atmosphere, tourists are accepted as non-wanted guests, there is no sense of welcoming and assisting. Pity for the structure, which is not bad, but it is not acceptable to be considered as milking cows just to satisfy their incomes volumes. Irrational rules, like taxing, invoicing, reserving, breakfast schedule. Even if the hotel was empty we had no better attention! Nobody ever entered in our room in any place of this world to pull as out, even if we were late to checkout! Thank God we were out of there, only military people, attending a survival camp, could feel good there! Please avoid for your own sake. There are plenty of other places in the area!

Prison break!

- balcony was common with transparent fence between room, the neighbors can look into your room. I needed to close the curtains when we slept or change.
- bathroom booth so small that I had to struggle to move the hands. And I am only 173cm height, fit. I could not put my hand from elbow to fingers horisontally into the booth (so max or less than 40 cm width)
- we booked room with matrimonial bed, but we received a room with 2 beds of 80 cm width, each bed.

Unpleasant staying especially because of the bed (which I specifically asked for, before) and that neighbours could look into our room and we had to close the courtains during night/morning... basically all the time.

I recommend they change their approach:
- respect the booking and call and anounce if it is changed
- offer intimacy, neighbors should not see into others' room
- make nice bath booths, not for children (not 40 cm width)

Bad experience. But they can inprove it.

As a rule, 4 Star Hotel Benefits are:
*A full upscale experience
*Staff to provide for needs
*Location for rest and relaxation
*Entertainment and food options right on sight making the need to leave the premise minimal. 
Moreover, three-star hotels are about comfort, while four-star hotels are about relaxation. 
All I can say, this is definitely NOT a 4 Star Hotel! No comfort or relaxation with such bad customer service. 

A Big No-No! 

We were a goup of 4 rooms an 8 people.
The owner destroied our holiday.
Bad attitude, disagreeable.
After check out he canceled the booking reservation and he said by doing that we will not leave a bad review of him.
Also...brekfast is only for 1 hour(8.30-9.30). If you arrive after 9 a clock you will find nothing.
Clean on outside. If you open a drawer you cannot use it until the dust is gone.
Bathroom was not clean, we found in the room ashtray full of cigarets.
The pool exists but can be used only of you pay for towels at the reception.
It has a restaurant but it is open only for breakfast.

Nightmare

We were a group of about 35 persons, staying for two nights, from Friday evening to Sunday morning. 

- we arrived almost at midnight, due to traffic conditions

- the owner, acting also as receptionist, received us rather unhappy, as "check-in time ended 3 hours ago" 

- at breakfast, as we were a large group, we had "swedish buffet": each client served himself

- when some friends ( maybe 10 of them) asked for omlette as it ended fast, the same owner replied rather abrupt: "it's over. " => we had no service at the table, there was no waiter in the breakfast room, yet they decided to have limited portions that a group of 35 customers should manage to distribute => no excuses were presented by the owner for this incident

- we went for a long hike on the mountain and came back at 10pm

- we had a waiter, contracted for only that evening. He did his best to serve us

- we wanted to purchase drinks from the bar. The reply of the owner was as rude as earlier: "At this hour the bar is closed !" ... i repeat: we wanted to purchase, but they had no intention to sell as it was late ... when they finally agreed to open the bar, they consistently forgot to give fiscal proof of sale 

- overall, very unpleasant interaction with an owner who has no respect for decent tourism and customer service ( no receptionist, no bartender, no waiter were employed ) 

- yet they have the nerve to assert the hotel is 4 stars ... at most 2

Good location, decent accommodation, very unpleasant interaction with owner

We payed in advance but they asked extra money when we got there. The reason was “because i want so! If you don’t pay just leave!”
Extremely rude!
When we left they said that in one room someone smoked and we have to pay 200€  fine or 100€ to them. They just try to take everything they can from you.
Avoid!!!

Horrible

THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE SARLATANS The adventure started at 2:25 pm when after 5 hours of walking I arrived (at the directions on the maps) in a dead end. I contacted the reception to get directions. A very "kind" "lady" made sure that before she listened to me she informed me that the accommodation starts at 16 00. Perfect. We reached the property and tried unsuccessfully to enter for about 25 minutes. Although I had spoken on the phone and they knew we were 30 seconds away from the property. The property is armored by fences and you can only enter after the inspection of the owners who decide whether to accommodate you or not. I mention that it was already 15 00 and 35 degrees outside and we were hand in hand with a 2-year-old child. After 12 calls, they answered and came to check who was bothering them at the gate. During all this time the owners documented themselves and being the only reservation of this day they came in handy with the printed reservation. The whole discussion took place through the fence. We were informed that the accommodation starts at 16 00 and only children over 6 years old are "welcome" and ours with 2 is not. We waited in the car until 16 05(the hour of the chek-in) when we called the reception and the  owner answered us. I told him we wanted to check-in. He told us to read the conditions and notice that WE CANNOT BE ACCOMMODATED! I specified that we will not accommodate the child but ONLY THE FATHER will be accommodated and the mother and the child will be accommodated elsewhere. The answer came quickly. He hung up the phone and they didn't answer. We contacted booking.com and were told they had nothing to do. Be very careful with booking and "reservations" with advance payment and no possibility of refund !!!!!!!! Reservation means something other than these herds. We paid in advance the entire amount of 200 E that we lost. This is not a reservation ... it is a service that we paid for! It is not written anywhere visibly that it does not accommodate children under 6 years old. Reading the reviews on google (too late) I saw that it is a common practice for these impostors to ask for money for children under 6 years. I never thought it was possible something.

THIS PLACE SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ANY COST!!!

If you read this comment,look for Casa Cențiu and forget about this property. The worst choice ever was to come here. Beginning with the way they treat their clients, to the way they refused to give us the receipt after we repeatedly asked for it, which we were entitled to get, to the hair in the breakfast salami. (poor type of breakfast and vegetables not fresh, coffe made at filter)After long discussions they finally gave us the receipt but they asked in return for an excellent review, which is not going to happen because the receipt was our right. The rooms have open balconies but it's forbidden to smoke even it's outside. The pictures are way above the reality which can be seen only when you arrive there. On booking, the sunbeds are included in the accommodation price but when we arrived the woman made it clear(by yelling) that we are not able to read correctly on booking. 😂 patethic. horrible experience. awful people. 
P.S. everyone nearby knows them, felt terrible for our choice and told us that they are horrible people also with their providers.

Do not believe everything you see. Worst experience ever. Just read the context.

We called the owners to check the availability. We needed an apartment for 3 but we've been told that it's not available but been offered 2 standard double bedrooms. We were given a price and agreed. In the meanwhile, we found someone to accompany us so we were 4. We sent an email asking it is alright to come as 4 considering we have 2 double bedrooms and their response was "no problem".

Upon arriving, at the bar (cause they have no reception) the boss lady said we messed up her plans by coming as 4 because she didn't keep track of the bedrooms and now she had to give us a standard double bedroom and a superior one and so the price was higher. She did not apologize, by the way. We also asked if we could use the billiard table we saw on the pictures and let me quote her:" No. Also, the restaurant is not functional. You can only eat breakfast here from 8:30 to 9:30 in the morning." The breakfast schedule is irrational!
How is that ok for a 4* villa?! Never have I ever thought this could happen, hence I didn’t ask over the phone if they have a functional restaurant. Never expected this. On the websites it was mentioned they own a restaurant so who thought this could happen?! 

However, the bedrooms were in the attic. In one of them, you literally couldn't stand up in the bathroom. Imagine my fiancee is 1.90cm and the bathroom was about 1.60cm. Going to the toilet was not pleasant at all.
On both bedrooms the wires were all over the place/walls, it looked really bad. The wall sockets were uncovered (very dangerous!). On the superior bedroom, the TV was making noises, it was scratching our ears and the bathtub draining system didn’t work! The toilet was dirty, not cleaned before we got there. 
No air conditioning, no proper windows, no mosquito nets, no wifi signal, old beds, and worse, no fridge (bare in mind, no restaurant also). You couldn't drink cold water or beer at all without going downstairs (3 floors) so you can buy overpriced bottles of the cheapest water on the market. We bought some chocolate and had to throw it because we couldn't eat them all at once and the heat was high enough to melt the chocolate. Very thin walls, you could hear everything from outside the room.

The pool looks so big in the pictures but in fact, it is so small and the water was FREEZING COLD. No heating. When we mentioned to the owner that the water is cold, he touched it with the top of his fingers and said: "it is warm enough"...
However, there was a water mattress next to the pool and we started chilling on it. This mattress was the best thing about the pool.
The next day, the mattress wasn't there anymore and we asked if we could have it and the owner said: "it is ours". WHAT?! 
YES, it obviously is yours, everything surrounding us is yours, but he was irritated by our question, not even a "sorry, it is our personal mattress, we forgot it outside yesterday"! He just said "it's ours" and left, very VERY rude and unprofessional. Oh, and the water was also dirty! And bees were wandering around the pool. There were a lot of them, perhaps a hive is around.

And finally, the staff was very rude, no sense of welcoming and unprofessional! They were acting like they were doing us a favor all the time. All the conversations were contradictory and they always looked like they were struggling to sketch a smile on their faces. 
They were always expecting tips whenever you bought a drink from the bar. I have no problem giving tips but I had a problem with giving THEM any tip at all, they deserved nothing. They tried to get money out of literally anything, whenever they saw you passing by they’d ask you to buy something which was very uncomfortable.
 
And, to add the cherry at the top, before we left, we went outside to smoke and a couple left before us and the lady boss was asking them to leave an excellent review. 
Begging for good reviews.. eh.. pathetic to be honest.
The quality-price ratio is very bad. This villa is 2 stars, not 4! The pictures you see on the internet and the facilities they claim to have are one BIG LIE!

The reason why I wasn't able to write this review also on booking.com is that they don't have an option to write a review unless you've booked through their website.
