Ncounter Business Center

My family and I had a pleasant 4 nights-stay at NCounter Business Center during our tour of Romania last September. I wish we had more time to spend in this interesting and eclectic city, full of culture, modern and traditional at the same time. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel so much that we are already planning to go back at Christmas. Our room was bright and huge (as big as an apartment) with two comfortable double-beds, a large living area with sofa, armchairs, air conditioning and tv and a comfortable bathroom with bath-tub and a handmade wooden surface around the sink that made the atmosphere warm and cosy (normally hotel bathrooms are so cold and impersonal!). On the walls there were contemporary artworks and somebody placed chocolate sweets and a vase with fresh tulips on the coffee table before our arrival, details that give the hotel a touch of class and personality. Breakfast was delicious and tailored on the individual taste: they asked us what we prefer on arrival and we got generous amounts of everything we asked for. Coffee is excellent and there is lots of choice of teas. The hotel is located in a residential area, at walking distance from the city centre and all the attractions and amenities. Despite being a business center (there is a lawyer at ground floor and a few offices at the first floor) the atmosphere in there is relaxed and informal. Staff are friendly, multilingual, polite and helpful. There is no lift and most of the rooms are located at the second and third floor but there was a young gentleman that carried our bags upstairs. I have been told that the owners applied for a planning permission to build an external lift; the only opportunity to build it inside the existing structure would have meant to eliminate the stairs located just in front of the entrance hall and that's a shame because it is really pretty. We were really impressed with our stay and we surely be back!
