we stayed for 5 nights in their holiday house. clean, nice, warm, parking plot, large garden, barbeque, cooking pots. we went at Pensiunea Helen only for the sauna and swimming pool. the staff was really friendly.
their restarant was acceptable but unfortunately they usualy dont have all the meals written in the menu :(
Still, no complaints.

The room was spacious and clean, with the minimum of needed furniture. The bathroom was clean, with a shower. Although the only toiletry was liquid soap, a hair dryer was available in the bathroom.

The food was OK, both as size and quality. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The only thing that was a big nuisance was the Internet connection. The only place we could access the WIFI Internet was the reception area and some parts of the restaurant because there was only one wireless router placed in their office, next to the reception.

An OK bed&breakfast

We booked 2 rooms for one night and we were rather disappointed as the website presented the pension very nice but I think the photos were taken many years ago, as the building and everything was old. The staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, the breakfast buffet was rather poor but tasty. The building was on a main street and near the railway so one can hear the cars and the train even with the window closed.

We had a wonderful stay at Helen in 2015. But things have changed a lot since then.

While the massive wooden staircase and squeaking floors give the building a special charm - the wear and tear of everything else is ruining the fun. Stained and torn sheets, low quality pillows, a shower spraying water all over a leaking shower cabin - these don't make up for a pleasant stay.

The worst part of the story is the service. We were a group of seven (5 adults and 2 small children) and we booked 3 rooms (out of a total of 9 available) for 4 days - and the owner did not care to warn us that there's no cook available, so that it will be impossible to have lunch or dinner on the premises.

Furthermore, during our stay, the house was more than a half full; nevertheless, breakfast was a mockery, with people queueing not only for food, but for cutlery as well - as, at some point, there was no one attending the guests.

Closing this list of sorrows, card payment is not available.

All in all, there's no reason to come back to Helen. The indoor pool and sauna are great, but not enough.

No reason to come back

I've slept one night here. Rooms were clean, price was reasonable, but it was too much noise (it's just near a major national road with lot of traffic). Also I did not like the lack of air conditioning, it forced us to leave the windows opened hence the noise.
