Went with a work project involving lots of people, lots of meals, rooms, services, assistance. The staff exceeded our expectations and were always ready to help us, need be. The food was super delicious (keep in mind they have to procure it from a 2 hour distance), the rooms warm and the view 5 stars! Make sure to go on a trekking to nearby sites and return for a warm drink and a hot soup. You won't need anything else. Cheers to Alex, Violeta and the rest of the guys there.

We stayed for a night. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Good wifi and a lot of tv channels. But why stay inside when you can enjoy the nature. A few meters away from the cable car. The food is great. You must try the "zacusca", the sheep or veal pastramy with polenta and the "papanasi" for desert. The stuff is really friendly and helpfull. I saw the other reviews and I was nervous about that but it seems that things changed in good.
We had a great weekend. Definetly a must try in the area.

We didn't stay here, just stopped for lunch on a rainy day after a visit to Ialomicioara Cave. The location is excellent and I am sure that on a sunny day having lunch on the terrace outside must be a dream. The food was very good (had some traditional home made food), best food we ate in our trip to Sinaia. The home made papanasi were excellent. Prices a bit higher than in town, but considering the location, on top of the mountain, very good value for money. Also the portions were a bit smaller than what we expected. The restaurant looks elegant and clean...maybe I would've enjoyed a less formal design, considering the location, but this is just my subjective opinion, the place itself looks great. Service and staff very nice. We really plan on returning here in the summer for a few days stay.

Excellent retreat in the mountains

Romantic weekend getaway 

Best food we ate in our trip to Sinaia

Pay attention to the invitation of the owner to a "freshly made gulaș": It is not on the menu and you will wake up with a generous bill: 75 lei/ portion (16 euro). They say it is made of pork and beef but it is only pork and the taste is by no means exceptional as you would expect at this price.
The prices in the menu are medium-high and the food taste is average.
We were a bigger group and in the end we felt robbed.

Be careful. They can rip you off

I have spent 48 hours and a dinner in this place. I don t understand how they managed to fool me to pay 75 euro per night.
Minimum room conditions( one plus to remember: clean sheets). Dirty carpet, dirty walls, and cheapest furniture. You should not enter the restaurant, it is horrible. Very poor food and very expensive. Service offered was so polite fake, that reminded me of Romania of the 90s. The hotel management should assess the tourism today market.

Not much for 75 euro

We stopped by to have a quick lunch and a coffee. While the restaurant was elegant, the food was below expectations. We decided to try some traditional dishes, but there was a great difference between the dish weight in the Menu and what we got. It was very disappointing... We want it to try more, but we gave up. I give some good points yo the personnel that was nice, but the food has room for improvement. Maybe next time!

Average service

Be very careful when ordering in their restaurant. They will lure you in with friendly approaches and nice words to gain your trust, then they will offer you some kind of specialty which is not in the menu and in the end you'll pay at least double or triple than normal.
I will definitely never go there again and will make sure everybody knows what they are doing out there...

Never again - Scam Restaurant

We received the bill and we were terrified! 75 lei a mediocre gulas and 200 lei a plate of sausages and cheese bought from a supermarket? I asked the lady at the reception who until then seemed very friendly and I received the answer "This is the way we do things around here!" This was the moment when I decided to write here so you don't make the same mistake!
We made a day trip and at the end of the route we ended in front of Valea Cocorei restaurant. We had been looking for accommodation there the day before but we did not find any vacancies. However, we noticed the very good rating from the former clients and we entered with confidence. We were very hungry so we asked the host to recommend something. "Gulaș for sure! Now I've got the kettle on the fire!" We ordered quickly! As it seemed that we were waiting since forever for the food to come, we ordered a snack, something, until the food was ready. We were recommended a platter. Neither the goulash nor the platter were on the menu, but we didn't think to ask how much it would cost so we had nothing to do but pay and leave with a bitter taste!

Big disappointment

Careful!  They recruit customers by saying they have something good on fire outside and you will wake up at the end with an exorbitant note.  Their style is clear: they suggest dishes that are not on the menu and in the end you have nothing to do ... I paid 75 lei for a random dish with goulash and 200 lei for a small plate with salami and lard.  Thank God I didn't order the big plate they suggested... 

Beware: really bad experience. 

Don't fall for their restaurant scam!
Just order from the menu and if you are ever offered something else, ask how much it costs otherwise you will have huge surprises when the bill comes.
In a few word: simply thieves!
