Cetate Residence

The pictures of the rooms have been described as a porn hub. That was our initial reaction. We would not have booked it in a blue fit had we not see positive reviews. They are correct, it is in an upmarket quiet neighbourhood. It is spotlessly clean, and the pool and grounds are well maintained. Our studio apartment was larger than we could have hoped for. We had an internal door to the bedroom which blocked any noise. Be warned it is 55 steps up to the rooms in the roof space area. This room had a very good block out electric blind. Our room, number 2, was mostly quiet but you should be aware the apartment next door has a wooden staircase that wraps around room number 2, so you can hear kids running overhead. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked well and there was music in the shower cubical The Lidle supermarket is approximately 100 metres walk and the old town is 1.5 kms walk. The kitchen was lacking in utensils and when we asked for cooking implements, we were given a large fork and a cake spatula. Some improvement is necessary here given the apartment is advertised as a place where you can self cater. Clara and her colleague were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this accommodation if you can cope with the stairs. Parking is free on the street and is on a first come first served basis.
