Great location! It’s walking distance from La Placita, bars, and the beach! Walmart is a quick walk away if I need essentials. Dani y Yannalise were very helpful and knowledgeable about the island and fun things to do for first time visitors. The free salsa dancing class was so fun and such an easy way to bring culture into this trip. The hotel was clean and secure and, not to mention, had complimentary coffee and water throughout the day. I loved staying here and can’t wait to return. The staff was very nice and helpful. The manager assisted when staff was busy. The hotel was very safe and secured front doors.

I loved the aesthetic of the place- immediately walking into the fun staircase art and modern furniture and lighting. I booked a single room to save some money as it was only one night and that was fine for my partner and I, but I wouldn’t recommend that for any longer. There was very limited sound and light proofing with doors- we shared a door with the neighboring room and there was a reasonable gap under it. We could hear other rooms pretty well and it was no wonder they had provided an eye mask and ear plugs. Staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had and as I said, it’s a fine accommodation for one night

The Somos hotel has a unique ambiance. Very quaint and retro at the same time. General Manager is profesional, friendly and helpful. Mr Clark is available to answer your questions. Our stay at the Somos Hotel was a Puerto Rican Adventure. Public transportation is right in front of hotel. Various restaurants. Walgreen’s, Walmart, & Ross nearby. 😊

This was a nice little hotel to stay in if you’re just in town for a short while. The walls are thin but the amenities are very neat. The area around is walkable and there are lots of food options. It is close to the museum of contemporary art, the movies and just a 15 minute walk to the beach. I had a great time.

I had a great stay. It’s very close to the beach, grocery store (Walmart), and drug store; all within walking distance. It’s a short drive to old San Juan and the t mobile district. The place is very nice and the staff was friendly. My only complaint was that the bed was not the most comfortable. The bottom bunk was not fully supported and drooped on the ends and pocked up in the center where the support was. I will note the room is small and there’s no window. I didn’t have a problem with this as I wasn’t in the room much (essentially just to sleep and shower). It was also a bit humid/damp. I would definitely recommend for travelers who are in the go and want to explore the city.

Very simple and practical just as i expected.   We just slept there one night.  Quick walk to La Placita.  Staff was very friendly and i appreciated the seltzers in the lobby.   There are a steep flight of stairs from the street and carrying suitcases up was a bit of a challenge.   Upon checkout the staff insisted on helping.   Wish i had known they could have helped with luggage when i arrived !

One night before a cruise

I did a last minute trip to San Juan so I was afraid I would be stuck in a janky hotel but to my surprise the Somos Hotel was wonderful! The hotel manager,  Clark, was amazing and although you see to be right in the thick of it all the hotel was quite safe. One downfall to this property was no on site parking. But overall I would rate my stay a 9. If you want a unique place to stay Somos is it.

We loved the staff! Each and every one of them made sure that we had everything we needed, down to recommendations. One of the men on the staff went above and beyond by helping us bring all of our luggage down the stairs. Our suite was beautiful, and we felt safe our entire stay. Not to mention everything we needed was walking distance which made all of our uber rides between $4-$12 everytime. I will be booking again.

Our room was very cute and cozy-very clean. I loved the provision of a robe, slippers, eye covers, and ear plugs, as well as soap and shampoo. The hotel is located right next door to a club so you could hear the base and the music. Additionally we were in a room located off the lobby-we could hear other guests very clearly at all hours of the night because of the acoustics-talking and doors slamming. While it was manageable for two nights-I wouldn't choose to stay there again unfortunately.

Although the Hotel and staff were amazing, the area were is located is not as inviting as your stay at the hotel. At night it’s a different life style not something I can really appreciate as I was warned about the area by my uber driver. And the power went out due to the horrible power company in the island. But the stay in the hotel was great best sleep in a while. The staff/ manager is amazing. Most important the hotel and rooms are very clean
