The hotel is ,first of all ,so beautiful, and the staff is extremely helpful. We had a large quiet and very comfortable room for a week, on the first floor where there is a beautiful landing with couches and coffee tables where we could play cards ! The breakfast was lovely and plentiful and the tiny pool on the roof was appreciated with our grandchildren who came to visit. When we got sick few days apart after the cruise on the Douro, the lovely concierge called doctors who came to the hotel to take care of us and the concierge even sent someone to the pharmacy to get our meds! All done with the utmost kindness and we are grateful<3. The central location of the hotel cannot be better, we could walk just about everywhere around Porto which is a very pleasant town to visit , one of my favorite walk was to go the local market were I had oysters, seasonal fruits, sardines etc.... a dream ! a 7mn walk from the hotel, on the recommendation of the fantastic concierge who also recommended a very special restaurant at the harbour for grilled sardines that I adored!!! El Rey de Sardinas!!! The hotel has a beautiful lobby (see pictures) and an elevator , every member of the staff, doormen and breakfast staff were all above and beyond ! I loved Porto very much and would go back in a minute, only if I can stay and Hospes Infante Sagres of course
