2846 reviewsI write reviews exclusively for Marriott Titanium elite members as I choose my hotels exclusively based on other titanium reviews when traveling to a new city. I have close friends who live in Europe and they recommended we stay in Belém, however the reviews from titanium members were very good for this hotel, so we decided on staying five days here instead. Titanium members travel a lot- typical more than 75 nights a year in marriott hotels to get this status. I’ve been at this level for 11 years, so I have quite a few hotels to compare. The overarching comment I have about his hotel- These guys knocked it out of the park. I cannot say enough about the management team here. You need to give lessons to other Marriott managers, I’m not sure how you do it, I rarely see this good of service - and for five days in a row. The service was flawless, They gave us a wonderful upgrade on check-in, they have a large complimentary breakfast daily, with so much to choose from that I never tried everything, even after five days. Fresh squeezed orange juice station, omelette station, tons of fresh fruit, all kinds of cheeses, cereals, breads, hot food items, and even a salad bar (I basically had that and a bowl of muesli and fresh fruit daily, it was so good), pastries, homemade pancakes, and specialty coffees to order. As an elite member, they had complimentary beer and wine all afternoon until I think 10p?? And they had happy hour food, I think at 5p daily. My son loved the popcorn maker that was making popcorn even in the morning! How cheap is that and how happy does that makes guests? Little details like that, and live music nightly in their bar, a generous wine pour when I want to just take a glass of wine upstairs and drink it while soaking in a hot bath at the end of a long day but don’t want to go back to the lobby for a second glass, are things that people like me notice. Spa slippers and bathrobes are a must for me, and they had already had them in the room, I didn’t have to call down and ask. Nespresso machine AND a tea pot in the room is another item that makes your stay elevated to the level that you hope other hotels heed to but rarely do. They had a bottle of port in my room and complimentary water bottles, refilled daily, more things you would think other hotels would automatically do but don’t. I lamented that I didn’t get to use the spa because we were so busy, but we had access to a beautiful pool, sauna, hot tub, and relaxation lounge. I really wanted a massage but regretfully I didn’t have time for that, either. Prices were good, imho. They had a panoramic lounge at the top of their hotel, also. Their night manager even sent a note up to our room the night before check out, just to make sure we were happy and to check if we needed anything. I truly had everything that I needed or wanted in a perfect hotel stay. I give this property ten stars. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again myself. The couple of things I would note is that there were a lot of lights and light switches, automatic blinds for the windows and also the bathroom window, and we had a heck of a time trying to figure out which switch was for what. Minor detail. It was kind of funny as we were constantly flicking on and off lights. Also, the furniture is somewhat outdated, they probably need to upgrade soon (bathroom appeared upgraded) but again, I would take the amenities, details and service over furnishings if I had to choose. Did I also mention they are around the corner from the yellow line metro? Only five minutes from the red line, and there are a couple of convenience stores across the street, and a fantastic seven floor department store with restaurants and bars down the street? Great location). We actually took the metro right to the hotel. Easy. Nice job, Sheraton Lisboa! Kudos to the management team. You are making Marriott proud.
