Spacious, clean, beautifully designed modern apartment in the center of old Lisbon? What’s to not like? Ah, yes, the sounds of neighboring apartments and the street. But you’re in the center of Lisbon!!! I loved the sounds of people walking by the small street out front, and the conversations of Portuguese locals from the buildings of the back. I liked opening the front window, drinking a port, legs out the window and saying hi to passersby. If you’re a light sleeper or need to cut yourself off from the city when you retreat into your refuge (understandable!), look elsewhere, but I won’t go anywhere else when I visit lovely Lisbon.
