Hotel Fajkier Wellness And Spa

Most hotels have something to recommend them but fail in other ways. Not Fajkier. From the incredibly neat car park to the comfortable beds, from the warm flexible staff to the warm swimming pool, from the great food to the great price deals this hotel just gets it right. never have we felt more relaxed and easy going in any spa hotel. This hotel oozes class in the right way (not that pompous exclusive expensive way) with welcoming discretion, personal service and respect for the customer. We stayed for a whole week with our dog in a 3 person room on floor 2 of the building. During our stay Gazeta Wyborcza had a training course or photographic reporters, there was a display of fascinating photos and it was fun to see all the modelling and cars going on. Despite the training course, we felt no disturbance to our stay. There is a photographic theme here due to the interests of management and its a great place for those with an interest in photography. The only real criticism I have is the lack of air conditioning. Here are some hints and tips to maximise your stay: - Ordering off menu is possible, we did it twice - how cool is that? - Room service is possible (but don't rely on it - its not a service of this hotel) - The barszcz czerwony is the best I've ever had - at 8zl this is a steal! - The American pancakes were terrible - well nowhere is perfect - and to be avoided - The pool is warmest between 14:00 and 18:00 in the afternoon but in general is one of the warmest pools we have experienced in any hotel and will satisfy even the most fussy - Towels, goggles, pool toys, EVERYTHING your kids could need for fun at the pool is available, you don't need to bring anything - Cleaning staff will take away your plastic drinks bottles from your own shopping if you ask - Buttons to control pool fountains are found high on the wall next to pool dining area - Make friends with Jolanta in the restaurant - she is completely wonderful and will make your stay much more pleasant. - To eat outside the restaurant in an emergency, there is a very cheap and good bar behind the nearest petrol station (turn left when leaving hotel - its the first one) - The 'health path' at the back of the hotel is a very very nice walk. In the end I have to congratulate staff, management and the Director for this wonderful place. This is truly one of the best hotels in Poland (we have stayed in many both on business and as a family). Tips for management: - Upgrade the TV size in the rooms - Remove American pancakes from menu -really these are nothing like American pancakes - Pay rise for Jolanta - Add some air conditioning
