I very much enjoyed my relatively short stay in the hostel. The staff was very kind, helpfull and cool! The beds were comfy and the kitchen was a good place to hang out with coffee in the morning, and I had a nice beer tasting evening on day one with fellow guests! Good atmosphere!

We've been touring Europe for a few weeks and have stayed in hostels in a variety of sizes, styles and prices, and Orange was our favourite by far. It's small enough to feel personal and homely, and it made it very easy to talk to people and make friends and the staff knew you by sight. This also helped it to feel more safe because the staff knew everyone who came in and out of the hostel and there was always someone on reception at any time of day. We paid for a six bed dorm and yet had it to ourselves for the majority of the week, as far as I can tell they tried to put as few people in each room as possible at all times. The staff were all lovely and very willing to help in a crisis or chat at any other time, particular credit to Magda who was always so chatty and friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved having a kitchen with loads of cooking utensils and herbs and spices (thank God for the garlic) and there was always free tea and coffee! 
The only downside was that the showers weren't the best,they could be a little tempremental and would often suddenly go cold, but this was a pretty small issue in the scheme of things and if you're not fussy about showers you won't have a problem.
Thanks for looking after us so well Orange! Would definitely go back on a return trip to Krakow!

The location of the hostel is excellent, about a 5 minute walk to both the Main Square and the Jewish Quarter.  The hostel could definitely do with improving their signs however, apart from one small sign on the front door, it is very difficult to understand where you are to go, the hostel is on the 4th floor which is easily missed on the sign.  I was in a dorm of 8 and it was excellent, the lockers under the bed were a very good size, the rooms clean, and the beds comfy.  The breakfast that the hostel supplies is also excellent and the wifi if on the main floor works excellently.  The staff are friendly and helpful - and helped confer with our tour company for a planned trip.  The one and only downside was the showers/bathrooms.  There are only 4 for the whole hostel and the showers are awful.  They last about 5 seconds so you need to constantly be holding the button in and the temperature just does its own thing.  However if you are willing to overlook the showers then this hostel is perfect for backpackers.

Our favourite yet

Great location and value for money - showers not the greatest.

We asked what we should do for our only night out and the receptionist suggested we go on the krakow crawl pubcrawl. When we got there there was a pretty uninspired guide waiting with a flag. We stuck with it because we'd already paid for tickets. Total dissappointment. I wish the receptionists would actually go on this thing to check it out before suggesting it to people. We'd heard all about krakow's nightlife being brilliant and ended up let down.

Ok hostel but can't trust the receptionists for advice

This hostel was dirty, disorganised, staff were rude and the worst hostel experience I have had in Europe.
I stayed one night in this hostel. Bathrooms were in a really bad state and there weren't enough for how many people were staying. Guests had visitors in shared dormitory room making noise and having intimate moments for all to hear and see!?
I was put into a bed that seemed dirty and sheets didn't fit. I was later woken by another guest saying I was in his bed, he had a girl he had bought back and was in need of it!?
A complete lack of care factor from the staff.
I checked out early as I had a almost sleepless night of sleep and seeked out other accommodation. I didn't receive my money back for another night I had booked, which I didn't argue but did feel was rather unfair after the ordeal. 
After leaving I received a message from a stranger asking if I had seen/accusing me of taking an item of his. 
I felt like I had had a bad enough experience already and then my personal information had been given out which didn't seem professional at all.
