Palangan Bayview Beach Resort

We purchased a voucher for 3 days & 2 nights, good for 2 persons through Metrodeal. We thought it was a fantastic deal since the price is reasonably affordable for me and my gf at Php 3,500.00 (if I'm not mistaken). We got so excited to purchase the voucher since we are dying to visit Puerto Galera and we could not believe how fantastic the deal was that we forgot to read the comments first before purchasing the voucher. So we did purchase the voucher first before we read the comments. We did saw a bunch of negative comments such as the quantity of the food for breakfast which is included in the deal is not good, water pressure is weak, rooms are dirty, television in the room is not relevant since tv reception is weak, swimming pools are dirty, the staffs are unfriendly, etc. To be honest, we felt disappointed due to the majority of negative comments but we decided to pursue since we already bought the voucher and we decided to book in on April 29, 2016 - May 1, 2016. We then reviewed the comments and found out that most of the negative comments happened during peak seasons like holy week and the management usually replies with a reasonable explanation and we had one in particular that the management apologized about the weak water pressure and explained that Puerto Galera in particular (not only Palangan Bayview Resort) experienced the weak water pressure due to exsistent public demand during holy week and that they installed water tanks in the resort in order to prevent it from happening again. Upon reading that, we felt some kind of a relief but we expected the worse still. When we got there on Friday afternoon of the 29th of April, the staffs greet us with smiles we were assigned to room 32. Being on the upper most floor of the resort we had the chance to have a quick tour around the resort, while getting there and we could not believe how clean the surrounding was including the facilities, in contrast to the negative comments. We got even speechless when we saw how clean or room was, again in contrast with the negative comments. We then test the water pressure in our bathroom and took a quick shower, to our surprize again the water pressure is not that weak, and again in contrast to the negative comments. We enjoyed spending our first day there swimming in their pools, playing billiards and darts. On our second day, we decided to visit the White Beach so we asked the staffs if they offer trips and promos to the White Beach. They were friendly enough to offer us a land trip to different tourist spots around Puerto Galera including Tamaraw Falls and White Beach but since we were on a tight budget we regretly reject the offer. They then offered us alternatives like a trike ride to the White Beach or we could rent their service van. We took the trike ride since it is reasonably cheaper than their service van. It took us Php 600.00 back and fourth trike ride to the White Beach. Then on our last day of stay, since we stayed late at night at the White Beach and tried their version of "night life", we woke up late, took our breakfast in the resort and rest for a couple of hours until we checked out at 12PM. Since everything became consistent until our last day of stay, we simply fell in love with the place and we forgot about the negative comments we read. I wrote this to be fair with the management since they had a lot of negative comments. Well to be frank, don't expect for a 5 star hotel treatment simply because it is not a five star hotel. Food quantity is good (not unless you're on a beast mode or maybe a sumo wrestler) and in addition to that, for us food quality is also good, in fact we ordered extra lumpiang shanghai and pancit for lunch. And also just as I've remembered, coffee is included in the breakfast. Water pressure is good (tama lang, may time na humihina but hndi nman to the point na tlagang walang pumapatak and saglit lng cya humihina like 10 secs tas lalakas na uli). Televison reception is good, well although reception is weak but for me swerte mo na nga may TV khit pano may napapanood sa room and besides you're not there to watch TV, e d sana hnd ka n lng lumayo s bahay mo f TV lng habol mo. The staffs and management are very friendly especially Kiko. I can say na it's worth our stay and we'll definitely come back.
