Yang Hostel

Excellent place to stay at.  Clean & friendly staff.  Great value for money.  They even provide free breakfast.  A stone's throw away from the beach where you can surf all you want.  Best to visit anytime.

We went to San Juan, La Union to unwind with my office mates and this is where we checked-in. The place is indeed a haven away from the city, with close proximity to different famous food places and also a reasonable distance to the beach, this is indeed one of the most recommended places to stay on San Juan. 

They have a very chill vibe on the house since our visit there, it feels that there's no strangers there. We occupied 2 rooms, the big room, and also one of the standard rooms there since we are 16 on a group and I was the organizer. The group appreciated the hospitality and the ambiance of the place and also commended the amenities that this place have. They have many shower rooms and comfort rooms that could accommodate us all.

We enjoyed our small vacation trip on La Union thanks to the warm accommodation on Yang's House :)

We spend our Christmas vacation with my family at Yang House and it was such a very memorable family-bonding with Yang and her Mom's warm welcome and assistance to all our needs.  The price is so affordable at less than P3K per pax with complete full meals, one-hour surfing lessons and a guide to the majestic Tangadan Falls in San Gabriel.  The first impression when we first entered Yang House visitor's lounge is a big WOW, with its beautiful murals and it's freedom wall, perfect to bring out the uniqueness in you.  My two daughters being a book-lover immediately scanned all their book selections and commented how lovely the place is.  You can borrow the books any time including their board games.

My children enjoyed the surfing lessons in spite of the big waves and the high tide, they all conquer their fears and thanks to ELYU’s coaches who never get tired of teaching them the proper way to surf until they perfected their stand.  I was able to capture all those magical moments through photos and videos.  The majestic Tangadan Falls is another attraction and thanks Yang for all these worthwhile adventures.  We will surely recommend this place to other friends and relatives.

I have stayed here several times, twice at luna room. The room rate is reasonable with free breakfast. During my latest stay tje place was much better the bathroom was fixed, hot water running, toilets working tjere was only one down side no more free towels you could rent one for 50 pesos. So dont forget to bring a towel.

Feels Like Home, Perfect Summer Getaway

Do not waste your money by booking here. Extortionately priced for the quality of stay. Tiny rooms, mattresses on the floor, no hot water, shower broken so had bucket showers, AC leaks and woke up to a flood. Creepy vibe. Paid for "private floor" yet were unable to lock the common room due to staff having to pass through to get to their rooms. Advertises included parking which is really street parking which might or might not be available upon arrival. Entire place needs tearing down and re-building.

So disappointed on this place. We paid 840 pesos per person on bunk beds good for 6 people. The place was so tiny and it does not feel homey at all. The bathroom is so small, and there's only 1 bathroom per floor. The toilet was even clogged when we arrived - the smell was not bearable. When we checked in, we literally had to wait 30 mins outside while it's scorching hot! Their helper saw us by the balcony from 2nd floor but did not even cared to ask us if we are checking in. :| The breakfast also took 1hr to be prepared. Pure disappointment. The price we paid did not meet the quality of service we received. Sigh.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!

I don't recommend this place at all. The owner doesn't really care a lot about the customers. Also, my cousin was just sleeping at the couch because the room is being cleaned and she took a photo of the cctv footage and told her employees to tell her that it's not allowed to sleep there. We payed the early check in and they're just cleaning the room and it is very rude to wake up a person at 6 or 7 am with no sleep just to tell her that.
