El Nido Overlooking Resort

This was the perfect break from our visit to Manila. The sunset view from the deluxe villa was breathtaking. And having two large king beds and two large bathrooms was fantastic. The hot water was available, but definitely doesn’t last long (although I think hot water is a luxury in el Nido). There is air con so make sure you turn it on because it will be off when you get there to save them electricity. There is only one thin sheet so both my friend and I had to use pool towels because it got kinda cold at night. The payment system online is new and I had to PayPal the person that reached out to me, but everything was perfectly accounted for and communication was great through emails. They have a small check in counter and can hold your bags if you have a Tour booked on the day you arrive. The included breakfast was very good and the staff friendly and kind. There is WiFi the password is on the router in an upper corner of the shared pool area. Wifi is also rare in el Nido so this is a major plus. The hill hike plus the stairs to the deluxe villa can get a little tiring so make sure you don’t have a disability or are severely out of shape, but it’s manageable for any other group of people. It is a little bit further south of the town of el Nido, so it’s about a 100 peso per person trike ride into town if you want restaurants or the only bar to go to at night, but you can flag down a trike at any time if you’re waiting at the bottom of the hill, they come by all the time.
