Great Eastern Hotel Makati

The hotel is strategically located in the heart of a commercial shopping district Also near are restos and bar.  The staff are very courteous and friendly.  Great customer service.  The rooms are large and all bathrooms have bathtubs.  Buffet breakfast is reasonably priced.

Value for Your Money

Location of this hotel is very much ideal. Surrounded by some super markets, restaurants and it was really active place with good traffic all around. The doorman at the entrance were friendly & helpful but as other reviews points out, there is nothing much to speak about the hotel staff. The rooms were spacious & just ok.

Good Location

I came away from Manila with a very negative view of the city - mainly because of the absolutely horrendous traffic conditions, but also because of its lack of beauty (I know it was completely destroyed in WW2, but the rebuilding hasn't gone well to say the least).

This isn't the hotel's fault though, and the headline lists the buildings best features. Furthermore they offer pretty good value for money in my opinion. 

On the down side, the interior is rather dated and wifi is only available in the reception area.

Good location and friendly staff.

The table top was full of cockroaches. Old hotel, not well maintained. If you just need a place to sleep and with a low budget and NOT sensitive to bugs you can consider this hotel.

On positive points for this hotel is location is within the business district right across Avenue mall where food stalls and bands for relaxation.

Full of cockroaches

I have been staying with this hotel for more than 4 times but still no improvement. I choose this hotel as the room rate is affordable and the location is strategic to me. For this time, actually I did booking a room at another hotel but due to some problem with the booking agent, I cancel my booking and went straight to this hotel as I have an experience staying with this hotel. 
Refer to my previous review on this hotel, it still remain the same. Hotel is old and outdated. The good thing about the room, is only the bathroom which had a bathtub. Staff is so so only. 
Whats make me piss off with this hotel this time, there are a lots of small cockroaches inside the room. Do this hotel ever call pest control to solve the problem? why cant the housekeeping see this matter?
One of the Hotel lift with view the air conditioning malfunctioning. Do this hotel have engineering department like other hotel?
For me, I rated this hotel with poor management with no Hotel experience and the owner of the hotel most probably sleeping all the time, never have any intention to improve the hotel.
This Hotel have a potential to be the best hotel in Makati based on their strategic location but if there is no intention to improve the hotel, well, i predict this hotel will be a brothel someday,
