Mayumi Resort

Booking at the last minute after being let down by another larger resort on this coast I have been delighted with the service, food and diving on offer. The accommodation is as expected for the price, beds were comfortable, bedding and towels clean ( if a little old) and rooms were functional. I was in no3 “ garden view” which was ok. No 1 is really only true sea view room right on the water edge. Dives sites offered are plentiful and knowledgeable DM chatted with me about my experience, qualifications and expectations before suggesting where to go each day/ Dive. Costs are more expensive than packages I’ve had with Scuba Junkie in Indonesia and Malaysia. You pay for boat to each dive site which varies from 900 to 1700 to 3000 with distance. Then on top it is 800 per dive for the DM , 200 pertank per diveand hiring per item for The day, so BCD is 300 regs are 300, weights 100 etc. with some of my own kit with me, but being solo diver it has been 12,000 for 5 dives over 2 days. Cash payment only has restricted how many dives I could do. Food is delicious and plentiful. There is a set menu option of 1100 per person daily which is great value and quality. Dive master was excellent And once knew I liked macro dives was able to show me lots each dive.
