Cebu has seen a lot of change and development over the years, and there's been no shortage of big modern shiny glass-and-marble hotels popping up over the years. As such it's nice to find a place that's a little more classic, a little closer to Cebu's roots. The "hotel" is really more of a bed & breakfast, a four-room affair set in an old Spanish-style house. Though the house itself is older, it has clearly been renovated as it has all new fixtures (I'm pretty sure they didn't have Panasonic air conditioners in the 40s). As with Marvin's stay, I pretty much had the place all to myself. Definitely a nice perk, as you're basically winding up with an entire home for peanuts. Between that and the old world feel, this place is a peaceful oasis in the center of Cebu, which can get pretty chaotic. I can also confirm the lack of a restaurant. Breakfast is served in the mornings but beyond that you're on your own for meals. Luckily there are a few restaurants nearby, and a local service delivers food from restaurants that don't do it themselves. Highly recommended. For the location, the amenities, and the service, it's a bargain at twice the price.
