Azure Dive and Yoga Resort

We dove with Azure.  The guides were knowledgeable and helpful.  They found a lot of tiny wildlife for us and gave us tips on camera settings.  We even used them to arrange our whale shark dive in Oslob.

We didn't stay at Azure, but the staff there were helpful in finding us transportation.

The food was nice especially the Sisig Pizza and the Chicken Wings. Room is clean ,friendly staff,quiet,relaxing.budget friendly. This is highly recommended

I had a great time at Azure on land and underwater.  I was there off season and was the only overnight guest all week.  The restaurant stayed busy though, with local guests coming in for meals and parties.  A full hot breakfast was included in the room price and I often had lunch and dinner there, too.  It's a little far to town, but the staff arranged a tuk tuk for just a few dollars whenever I wanted to go.

My room was comfortable, with strong AC,  Plenty of electric outlets so I could charge all my dive equipment each night.  Water pressure was a bit anemic, but the shower was hot.  

The diving was quite good, even off season.  I'm a very experienced diver and travel a lot to dive, so I'm pretty picky.  I never dove with more than 2 other divers and Ricky, the guide.  Ricky knows where every creature in Dauin can be found.  All the dive sites were just a few minutes away, maybe 5 minutes or less.  Conditions were very good, almost no current, most dives were 50-60 feet, visibility was okay, maybe 40-50 feet, but it was offseason.  Dauin is famous for muck diving, so many dives were over volcanic sand, but the crazy marine life is why you go there.  There are also some really great reefs mixed in.  I never tired of the dives, there was always something really interesting every dive.  

I enjoyed Dauin and Azure very much and will definitely consider visiting again.

I visited this resort as part of my dad’s bucket list trip to see clown fish while diving.  We have been scuba diving together for 25 years and saw some of the most beautiful coral and interesting creatures while on the dives!  The dive team was wonderful in general, but especially accommodating to my 75 year old father.  They did everything that was needed to manage the dive gear…we only had to walk to the front of the boat where they would help us with our bcd and then snap our fins on for us!  Also, we rented their equipment and l found it to be in great shape and very cost effective for a weeks worth of dives.  

The resort’s proximity to Apo Island is a huge plus!  The marine reserve at Apo Island is home to the most beautiful coral I’ve ever seen!  Definitely a must see if diving in the area.  The kitchen staff from the resort was even brought on board the dive boat to be able to cook a meal for us between our 2nd and 3rd dives. Such a wonderful day

The resort itself was great!  The rooms were comfortable had everything we needed.  We were able to enjoy a lot of local/authentic meals that were prepared by the hotel staff.  They also helped arrange an island tour for us which we really enjoyed.  

If I’m fortunate enough to return to this area someday I’ll definitely plan to book a second stay!

Twenty four years of dive travel to almost everywhere and I have never encountered such a perfect experience!  

I took 16 divers to this beautiful resort last month and upon arrival, we felt we had reunited with  long, lost family.  That's the way were by  treated by Glenn, Katherine and their staff throughout our stay.  They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect in and out of the water.  

The resort is picturesque, surrounded by  tropical flora and fauna, everything kept spotless.  All of our meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were amazing.

Our time in the water was a fascinating combination of muck diving and reef diving. Each day it seemed we encountered something we had never seen before.  If you've ever asked yourself  "what happened to all the soft coral"...  Well, they went to the Philippines and liked it so much they stayed!

Azure Dive Resort needs to be added to your travel list.  Meeting  with Glenn, Katherine and Staff and experiencing what they have created is something that will work its way to the top of your favorited experiences.

Friendly staff  and super nice host very accommodating. Perfect place to stay with family..The place so relaxing and comfy. And its very near to Apo Island for diving and snorkling. We  will back for sure. Super cleaned room and food was good .

The owner of the Azure Dive Resort, Glenn, took such great care of me, like I was family!  He went way above and beyond helping me repair my underwater camera.  Twice he had an electrician come to the resort until the issue with my flash trigger was resolved.  I can not thank him enough.  I am a PADI IDC Staff Instructor and have dove much of the world, I can tell you without hesitation that the dive excursions that Glenn plans and joined us on were some of the best I have ever done!!!!  In addition to the excellent macro diving, Glenn's resort is top notch!  The rooms are beautiful, the service is excellent and the food is to die for.  You will have all your expectations met and exceeded if you stay at the Azure Dive Resort.  You can't go wrong...... 

Thank you very much Glenn and your team for the time we spent at your resort. Even the time was hard as the Corona started to get around the planet, we had an amazing time at the resort and under water. The dive guides with the boat crew did all their best to get the most out of it, even we were not able anymore to go to all the sports around Dauin. Glenn, Catherine and the entire team at the resort were always there for us. The food was exceptional, the service and all the help to be able to leave on time to get back home.

First and foremost, everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming, and goes out of his/her way to help you. This includes staff, dive operators, and the owner! This resort is fairly new, with lovely grounds and a dive shop on site. Our room was spacious and clean, with a good air conditioner. There was plenty of hot water for showers, though sink lacked this. The pool was beautiful, and the eating area overlooked the ocean. The food was good and plentiful.The beach itself is rocky, so bring appropriate footwear. It was concierge diving--staff would set up and rinse gear every day. The dive sites were 1-5 minutes from the resort, and full of amazing sea life. We took 2 day trips to Apo Island, (45 minute boat ride) and the diving there was fantastic--the coral healthy and sea-life everywhere. It can rough on the way back, so be prepared. All in all, Azure is a great dive resort.

Bucket list dive trip

Absolutely Perfect!

Excellent location and extremely helpful staff. Apo Island is very close and and if you want to visit the whale sharks in Oslob, this is the place to be since they take the boat to the location avoiding the land route. I experienced the best reef diving I've ever had had, and great muck diving too. I would give this place an extra star except for the fact I would have been willing to pay a bit more upfront to make it more "all inclusive" to avoid the charges at the end of the stay, but that's a minor point. It is a great place to to dive from

Divers' Delight

Stayed at Azure Dive Resort for 3 days with a diving tour group and dove with them daily during our stay there. The resort is located on a rocky beach and is quite secluded, there are other resorts next to the premise but Azure Dive Desort is pretty self-contained and very quiet, which is what I preferred.
I think the resort was recently renovated so everything is very new and well maintained, rooms are cleaned daily and the beds are super comfy. I was also really impressed that the resort & restaurant staff made an effort to remember the names of all the individual guests.
The Dive Shop is super organized, and the gear is well maintained, they even had different tanks of freshwater for soaking different items, which was a godsend when everyone in our group had cameras that needed rinsing apart from our divegear.
Dive Crew is super friendly and they will help move your gear and changing tanks inbetween dives, I dove with Bogart along with Ricky and they are super chill, and amazing at finding macro creatures. I enjoyed the muck dives near the shores most, we did do a day trip to Apo Island (it takes an hour to get to Apo Island from Azure Dive Resort, and they arranged for lunch on the boat as well) and although there was so much coral, its not as ideal for sealife photography since there's just so much to see within a dive and the current was rather strong. I'd suggest Apo Island only if you want an easy drift dive with lots of coral to see, but if you're looking to photograph small stuff and see unique marine life I'd suggest just diving around the nearby divesites.
The owner Glenn, is also around the resort everyday, and he was kind enough to make special arrangements for our group to go purchase facemasks due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The stock was all cleared out by the time we got to the pharmacy but we really appreciated his effort anyway.

One complaint I have is that the wifi signal is really weak, I couldn't connect to the wifi when I was in my room and I wasn't even able to connect to my mobile 3G network. Signal is fine when you're in the restaurant, although it slows dramatically when all the resort guests are connected at the same time.

Some things to be aware of:
- Bring dive booties, its a rocky shore and water entry to the dive boat and it can be difficult to do if you're in just divesocks or slippers like I was.
- There's a convenience store on the highway a short walk from the resort so you'll be able to pick up snacks and amenities if you need to

Amazing Dive Resort and Great Diving

We stayed for 4days/3nights, the experience was great even though we do not dive. The staffs were very accommodating and pleasant. The food was fantastic. Our room was cozy and we love the bed and pillows. The place is exclusive for hotel quests, so expect it to be quiet which was what we need. We had the best 4days of our busy lives. And, we hope to come back the soonest. 

By the way, they also provided our request for a "tabo." Hehe

Great Experience

The diving was amazing.  Did local diving, went to Apo Island and then to Oslob to dive with the whale sharks.  The resort arranged all the diving.  The dive staff and boat crew were fantastic and took great care of us.  The food was fabulous.  Even got hot lunches on the full day dive trips.  The rooms were very nice with great views.  The owners frequented the premises to make sure everything ran smoothly.  Thank you Glen.  
Tips - bring snacks for late afternoon before dinner.  There really isn't anyplace nearby easy to get to.  Although there is a convenience store not too far, the road to the hotel is a dirt road and the weather was really too hot and humid to walk.
Also, make sure you have water shoes.  There is no dock and getting to the boat to the shore was rocky.  Note: the crew takes all the dive equipment on and off the boat for you.
