My husband and I stayed in Naasag, a stones throw away from CASA ROCA INN. It was dinner time and we thought the place was quiet. We didn’t expect much but when we got to eating our dinner. WOW. I had their spaghetti pesto with grilled chicken while my husband had their mixed grill. It didn’t really take that long to prep our food. The view at sunset was amazing. It proved to be a romantic experience for us. We really really REALLY recommend this place. Maybe next time we’ll book here too.

Amazing Seaside location, stunning sunsets and fantastic cuisine. 

Breakfast, lunch and dinner ... all meals we had at Casa Roca were fantastic. The fresh-from-the-sea daily specials are a must. If you miss Casa Roca, you’re Camiguin trip will be incomplete. 

Upon arriving to Camiguin, Casa Roca Inn's Co-Owner Jim was waiting for in the parking lot for our 2 day stay. We booked the Veranda Room. Once we arrived I was surprised how large and comfortable the room was for such a low price, complete with a large balcony. The price includes a free breakfast with many choices to choose from. Very large portions. Same with lunch and dinner menu... very low prices and large portions.. and delicious! The grilled Tuna was superb! Soft music playing in the restaurant and very attentive staff. Plenty of room to stretch out and just enjoy the view of the ocean or a nice cup of coffee while relaxing. Its just minutes away from many tourist spots, such as the sunken cemetery and cold spring pool. Owners Jim and Evelyn have created a very nice bed and breakfast resort for those looking for clean rooms, affordable accommodations and a wonderful menu!

Our stay at Casa Roca Inn was unbeatable! They became our benchmark on our entire Camiguin stay. The food was great and you really get what you paid for. The staffs were very welcoming and the hosts (Evelyn and Jim) were as always warm. Both the staffs and the hosts made sure that we are enjoying our food. The ambience was soooooo relaxing that you don’t want to leave the place. Indeed it was an “escape from the ordinary” as their tag line says. We’d love to stay in this place again and would highly recommend this place to our friends who will be visiting Camiguin.

I don't get to travel that much but I would say our stay at Casa Roca Inn was one of the best. We get to have the best food in town plus the place is awesome. The staffs were very accomodating. The hosts were very warm and friendly. No regrets at choosing this place because you get the best value of your money. Our stay at this place (though short) was my definition of real vacation.

Never stay in the place but have had breakfast there many times. I love there breakfast. And staff always pleasant. i have been to this Island maybe 5 times. Love it there. I am Canadian and he makes good Poutine Fries from Canada. Going again to Camaguin tomorrow. Will probably have many meals there.

Best Restaurant in Camiguin

I hope the management will not misunderstand this as negative. I aim not to mislead future travelers and tourists. And I also hope this will be a good example that we should never stop aiming higher.

You see, we, my husband and I, went to Camiguin to spend our wedding anniversary. We both were excited. And booked in Casa Roca. We arrived at the place. It was very clean. And the food was superb.

The place was really great. However, I hope the owners will ponder on these:
1) The furniture in the veranda were hazardous. They need to be fixed.
2) There was no air-conditioning. The atmosphere was so humid, we didn’t sleep well.
3) Customers are people. And people have fears. I raised that concern regarding the gecko inside the  bathroom. But it wasn’t addressed. 
4) The door in the veranda cannot be locked. Therefore, there is that lurking fear that anything/something might happen. I don’t know. I’m used to having a locked room when I/we travel.

I am grateful for the staff for being accommodating. And I wish the owners good luck. And I also hope that they treat this with a positive mind. 

I guess there will always be a room for improvement

New owner poor quality now poor service as wel poor no wines available need a new ranking sorry for quest to take the trouble to go there . It’s a pity the location is stunning but it’s now not worth to visit only for a beer and see the beautiful sunset

Casa Roca comes very highly recommended on several travel review sites, as well as in Lonely Planet.  We contacted the owner, Jim and made the booking with him. He was extremely helpful over text messaging even going as far as to organize our transportation.

However, upon arrival after a long 24 hour flight, we quickly realized that he was no longer in Camiguin, having moved elsewhere in Mindanao. The property is well situated. The veranda room is everything we had hoped for, operlooking the ocean. But the property has been left to deteriorate. The bathroom was non-functional. There was no water. The toilet was not flushable. We contacted James requesting him to fix the problem. He did not respond to our messages.

The caretaker eventually got a plumber to make it workable. However, future guests need to be aware that water pressure is very low, there was no hot water, the shower doesn't operate as it should and it is very basic. It kind of felt like a "gas station" bathroom.

This place has so much potential. I feel sad that it has been left to deteriorate. A couple of bedside lamps, some shelves in the room can make this a stellar choice.

The food continues to be good and reasonably priced. The caretaker and other staff were very nice.
