TheView Camiguin

My girlfriend and I booked 3 nights at The View in late January and ended up staying for 5. The hotel is under new management and the family running it were lovely. They done everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible (this included cooking us up some BBQ ribs one night). The breakfast was great, the rooms large with comfortable beds and hot powerful showers. We loved the hotel and look forward to visiting Greg and his family next time we visit Camiguin! 

If you are visiting Camiguin, the View is highly recommended. It's quiet, the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Thanks for making us complimentary sandwiches for our Hibok-Hibok hike. This place is conveniently located and the breakfast was the best.

My husband & I stayed here for 2 nights after his Mayana Uphill Challenge in Bohol.

Took ferry from Jagna to Balbagon Port that left at 1 p.m.  Ferry ride was 3.5 hours & we arrived 4:30 p.m in Camiguin Island.  Our host Ms. May arranged for a multicab to pick us up from port.  We paid P250 for the pick up.  

Once we got to hotel, check in was quick.  I just filled out an info sheet & we were taken to our room.  We occupied Rm 1 & boy, it was the biggest room we have ever occupied in all our road trips.  It is really quiet in our accommodation being far away from highway.

Our bed, California King can actually sleep 4 people.  It was comfortable & sheets were clean.  We even had a 2-seater wick  seater inside our room. The floors were  immaculately clean too.  

There was even a ceiling fan to help the air conditioning as it really gets too hot during day time.  Television set has many channels to choose from depending on what u want to watch. 

In addition, bathroom was also big & there was built in cabinet to hang clothes.   Shower & toilet was separate from powder room.  Oh they have a good working BIDET.

We also rented a scooter to go around the island & check to see various famous sights.  We paid P400 for a 24 hour bike rental & put gas of P200 for full tank.

Plated breakfast was included in our room accommodation. They offer a wide variety to choose from their menu & their pancakes were killer (soft & fluffy with banana slices & a dash of cinnamon & chocolate powder.

The owner, Ms May help us with suggestions on whr to eat.  I did my assignment as well & earmarked eating at Guerreros while in the island.

Overall, this hotel is highly recommended either for couples, group of friends or families.

The best place to be in Camiguin if you are after a totally relaxing and rejuvenating holiday.

Fantastic 4 nights stay at this hotel! Great view of the sea and mountain breeze. One experiences what it’s like to be an haciendera the moment she leans on the balcony and stretches her view of the lush greenery beyond. What a feeling! Totally relaxing and rejuvenating: sight and sounds. The calmness and quietness even with music. My idea of holiday. Although it’s elevated and probably a hundred or so feet above sea level which gives you a feeling of seclusion it’s actually just a 10-15 minute tricycle ride to the town centre. Nobody bothers us slouching in the hotel’s lounge for WiFi after excursions. We normally start early at 6:00 am to avoid the intense heat when the sun beats down. I’d pick this hotel many times over.

the location is in the mountain, 2 km from airport. in a very quiet place, not on the surrounding road of the island. the hotel is beutiful the view is marveles. very nice and helpful staff. the hotel have generator in case of electric break (was twice during our stay). the room is very big as well as beds. very clean. you can use the refrigerator for extra money. private hot water shower. very good breakfast include. wifi only at the loby.

We've been travelling for five months now and this is the first place we've gone to where we really feel at home. May was so welcoming, she showed us what there is to do on the island and what people enjoy most which was so helpful because if we went by Google we would not have gone to half the places! The hotel is cosy, spotlessly clean, the rooms are HUGE, the bed is so comfy with big fluffy pillows and the shower is warm. We were able to rent a bike which made getting around the island super easy. The location was perfect  wherever you stay on the island you will need to drive to restaurants/things to do as they are all dotted around, but here you get there comfort of home with a gorgeous countryside view. They also have chess and a pool table and dogs. We wish we could come back already!😍

I’m staying in the view and restaurant with a friend of mine. We are staying here for a little two weeks. The accomodation is very clean. It has a nice owner who is trying to help with everything. His wife is one of the sweetest women we met in the Phillipines. She can explain everything. From suggestions to climb Hibok Hibok to finding a new nailclipper in Mambajao Downtown. We really appreciate the help, at the second night our airconitioning broke and we got a room change immidiately. A few days the balcony light didn’t work anymore, they fixed it within like an hour or so after letting them know. The swimmingpool is big enough and not quite busy. Most of the time we can use it for ourselfs. The hotel is just 5 min from Downtown on the motorcycle. Perfect location for rest and relaxing. Every morning there are a plenty of choices for your included breakfast. We choose the pancakes because they are to delicious. Absolutely recommended to backpackers, especially for this price.

I’ve visited TheView hotel with my friend Bas for 13 nights. It is a very clean hotel with luxurious rooms. The owner of the hotel is a really nice guy and helped us with all our questions and problems. Ones the airco broke and we directly got a room transfer so we would not have to wait till they could get the airco repaired. His wife is also very sweet, she is so kindhearted and willing to help you any time. The breakfast is included and there is a lot of choice. Would really recommend this place to others, one of the best places we have stayed at in the Phillippines!

We loved our stay here...the room was huge! Nice comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, a good night's rest. Place is far from the main road and would recommend it if you want peace and quiet. You wake up to the sound of birds and crowing chicken..food is ok. Make sure you arrange for transportation if you stay here..or you can arrange it with the hotel..owner Mae is very nice and helpful...would recommend this place..

Huge Rooms

The place was very clean. Our room was always cleaned on a daily basis. They really made sure that the it was neat and tidy...it was well ventilated. The staff was very accommodating. Especially the owner, Mae. She was very hospitable and approacheable.  A very good host. If you want to experience nature, i definitely would recommend this property. You will have a very good view of the ocean and the mountains. Not to mention the food, very palatable at a very reasonable price. It was absolutely a great place to relax after a whole day of touring the Island. Did i forget the pool? It was definitely relaxing and well maintained. I will absolutely go back to this place..What you see on the website is definitely what you get.

A very awesome and close to nature experience.

We had a fantastic experience at The View Hotel. The service was great even went above our expectations. When we arrived Manuel was at the front door to greet us. He even drove to a local restaurant La Dolce Vida to get a Take out menu for us. By the way the restaurant at hotel closes at 4pm. Dinners will be provided elsewhere. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating. They even arranged an amazing tour guide,Rommel, who drove us around the island and hit most of the major tourist spots. It's a small island so most things can be done in 2-3 days. Rooms are big and spacious. Very quite. Felt like we had the hotel to our selves. Good breakfast selection. I would recommend TheView to my friends and family. I will personally return TheView on my next vacation to Camiguin.
