Isla Bonita Resort

The hotel itself was right on the water and the room was nice enough, and very affordable.
Alvin who works on-site was super helpful and went above and beyond for us, sorting us out a hire scooter, helmets for both my partner and I, and snorkel masks that he was happy to lend to us for the day. 
Close to town, and close to the sardine run (right off shore), a great stay for a couple nights.

Staff went above and beyond.

I was invited by a good friend to stop over for awhile before me and my partner drives back to the city. It’s indeed a scuba diving resort since the shoreline is not that sandy as compared to nearby resorts. No proper parking lot too.

stayed with my parents and siblings..thought that we are near the white beach which turned out that we need to travel around 15-20mins to reach the white beach, so we end up swimming in their pool. they do have beach infront of the hotel however it is rocky..all in all experience it is fine.

good but front beach is not

Firstly the name of the place is actually Isla Bonita - hopefully some will pick it up and modify the name!

The property is located right on the beach beyond the end of the access track, which means the tricycle drivers don't know where it is.  Basically go to the end of the track which runs  along the beach properties after turning right from the Main Street into Pangasama after coming from Moalboal, the walk 50m along the sand to get to it.

It is a house type property comprising six or seven rooms facing the sea with a couple of covered verandas.  Location wise it's good, quiet and a nice place to chill.  Unfortunately when we went it rained, not exceptionally hard, and the access road back to the village was already flooded - which wasn't ideal.

There were no staff to make their presence felt, so after check in we hardly saw anyone and the caretaker wasn't really able to help or guide us, even on who/if we had to pay them.  There is no food option either, so breakfast has to be in one of the cafés in the village.

The room was big, clean and nicely done.  It suffered a bit in our room from a missing slat in the window which made it a bit noisy.  Also we got a few drips through the roof when it rained.  Neither was too problematic, just a bit annoying.

Overall a nice place but not really a hotel and with no service it was a bit expensive for what was provided.
