Ridgewood Hotel

Whenever we go to Baguio, we always stay at this lovely hotel. I love the location of this hotel-- it is walking distance to the Mansion, Wright Park and a commercial place where there are lots of restaurants and cafes. I love the breakfast at Ridgewood. They would serve corned beef, eggs, fried rice and dried fish/shrimp which I always crave whenever I go to the Philippines. The last time we stayed at this hotel, we booked the City Suite which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and two balconies. The view from the window is the Mansion. My family had a fantastic time just relaxing , bonding, and catching up with each other at Ridgewood. Our room felt so homey and cozy and I loved every bit of our stay at Ridgewood.

I travelled with my wife and 2 year old daughter to Baguio and stayed 2 lovely nights at Rdigewood. Hotel is nestled along a hill surrounded by pine trees; the view of the skyline at sunrise and at sunset is peaceful and calming. It is walking distance to Wright Park which is perfect for anyone to enjoy nature and thequinessential Baguio atmosphere. Our room was very nice with the wooden accents on the ceilings and walls that complement the mountain feel. The queen bed was even and the sheets were soft and clean. It was so nice to indulge in the hot shower in the modernized bathroom and finally sink in the bed for a restful sleep after touring Baguio's Camp John Hay, horseback riding, Tam Awan Village, and the Ben Cab Museum. The breakfast was great with a combination of cold cereal, breads, and hot selectioons like garlic rice, eggs, local dried fish (yummy!), and these tiny fried shrimps which I liked most.  Breakfast also included fruits, juices, and coffee & tea.  I was impressed with the variety given the price point.  (Other hotels will just give a packaged danish and an apple).  The dining room gives a cozy feel because of the wooden ceilings; and the dining is pretty classy with silverware, plates, glasses.  The staff were also very kind and understanding toward my 2 year old who liked to roam around the place. I highly recommend this hotel; and would book again here the next time I visit Baguio.  Thank you Ridgewood for making our family trip to Baguio such a pleasant one!

Napakabait and humble ng staffs. Very good customer service. You will feel at home. So kahit Manila pa yung inuuwian namin, hindi ako na-homesick. Siguro mabait yung management sa staffs nila kaya nagrereflect sa very good customer service. 

We had lunch last January 2019 in their restaurant..we visited a few restaurants in Baguio city but the food of ridge wood hotel was amazing..it was very delicious.seafood kare kare is a must when u visit the restaurant..service was on top.friendly and professional staff.highly recommended.will come back there when we visit philippines again.

I had a little problem on arrival, and The staff and manager were excellent and understanding - 10 points for excellent reception. The Ridgewood hotel is located a little out of Baguio city (less then 2km) and that is great; I needed fresh air and space and the hotel had plenty of that. Great views, clean rooms, healthy breakfast buffet (fish, eggs, rice, fruits) and lots of coffee. Check-in and out was efficient (I paid online). The hotel is quiet, but the neighbourhood maybe a little noisy at times. I would go there again simply for the great service and friendly staff.

Ridgewood Hotel was my first choice because I wanted an authentic Baguio experience. The architecture and surroundings definitely provide that experience, compared with other hotels which look and feel like any other typical hotel. It's also nicely located: near enough to the city center, but far enough from the main street to provide a rural and quiet environment. The staff are friendly, courteous, and always ready to assist. The amenities are quaint but adequate. The menu has an impressive selection and is reasonably priced, but it would have been great if all of the items were available. It's a really nice place but needs to be better-maintained. Housekeeping seemed lacking in thoroughness. Nevertheless, Ridgewood would still be my first choice the next time I'd need a hotel in Baguio.

The Junior Suite room we got is perfect for writing and relaxing but reasonably priced. 

The room is conveniently spacious with balcony, refrigerator, and amenities to make stay relatively relaxing.  

Mines view park is quite near and walking distance for those who enjoy hiking / sightseeing and buying souvenirs . Restaurants are plentiful and no traffic as compared to Hotels in the Session and Burnham areas. 

The staff are courteous and well trained in handling travelers , specially Senior Citizens like us. 

We also enjoyed the live music at the Hotel Restaurants which is scheduled on Friday and Saturday , 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm . 

The only problem will be the barking of dogs, as our location is side of residential areas with still several Pine Trees but already very quite at 10:00 pm. 

Buffet breakfast is also available between 7:00 am to 10:00 am ,

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The view was nice, we could see the pine trees. Aircon wasn't needed because it was cold. The location was ok. Breakfast was ok, too.

Booked my room through Agoda a month before my actual stay, I have discovered that my stay would be in the long weekend. I reserved the Junior Suite with an option to pay later just in case I change my mind. This hotel is my choice because it is near Mine's View and Wright Park, but the hotel is tucked away from the main road and away from the crowds, it is in the quiet residential area, so at least I get some peace and quiet during sleeping hours.
The room is big, Queen size bed, the mattress is good, not too soft, not too hard, the water pressure is OK,  amenities are provided (soap, shampoo, dental kit etc) I was looking for a hairdryer and thought they have it the rooms,  but when I spoke to the reception, they told me they don't provide one, no bathrobe either as opposed to what I saw in Agoda. It was a long weekend so the hotel is full, WI-Fi was non existent on my first day, I have to go to the lobby or use my mobile data to go on line,  the network might be so congested because the hotel is full. On my first night, I can hear children running up and down the hallways, I blame the parents of the children not the hotel for this, but thankfully all the noise stopped. The breakfast is satisfactory, but only one choice of bread, either white toast or brown toast, no croissants, danish or bread rolls. Garlic fried rice, longanisa, Sardines, scrambled egg and fresh fruits. Brewed Benguet Coffee and Juice, I am not a picky eater so I am happy with what they have and it comes in complimentary with my room rate.
The staff are very courteous and accommodating, even before the actual date of my check in, the granted my request. Small request means a lot to a guest like me who travel solo. Thank you reception staff. My check in is fast and I was given my breakfast voucher, wifi password and the rest of the hotel information and Baguio City guide in one folder. 
The restaurant offers food with funny names, which are all amusing. I tried the pasta, kudos to the chef who came up with all these ideas and the food is delicious.
I requested for a room cleaning the following day. I went to the public market to shop for some items to be taken home, when I came back the room is not yet cleaned, I left again and that's the time my room was made, it might have taken some time because of all the mess the check out rooms has done. 
My room or should I say the property is starting to show signs of wear and tear, lampshades are already stained, there's no power outlet near the bedside, wardrobe cabinet needs to be painted because it has stains, I am not sure if the fridge works, but my room has one, there was a free coffee and bottled water on my arrival, but not replenished, I don't know it that is normal, but there is a water dispenser in the hallway, hot and cold. 
I loved my stay in this hotel, the staff are polite and willing to accommodate a guests. Maybe in future they might renovate their rooms. I'll keep this place in mind when I am in Baguio again.

Stayed here for about 5 days back in April. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff are very accommodating. They serve free breakfast which was a plus. The hotel was also very easy to find and parking is available.

Although their WiFi is pretty much non-existent, it just doesn’t work most of the time. But mobile data is pretty fast here. 

I will definitely stay here again 👍🏽
