Our family had a wonderful 5 night stay here! We booked a over the water bungalow and it provided a beautiful every day.The staff were great! Alejandro helped us find a sloth that was in the forest behind the hotel.Breakfast was always healthy and yummy. We had dinner once and it was tasty too.We were able to swim from our bungalow, the water was about waist deep, and even kayaked around the hotel.We booked a day tour of the area with the hotel in the third day, however it was just the three of us so they transfered us to another company they worked with. Despite the reviews about the sound/music from Bank Town, it wasn't a problem and we never used the provided ear plugs.Overall, we had a very relaxing and lovely time at Eclipse del Mar!

This property is a gem! We stayed a week in December and had an all around lovely stay. The bungalows were clean and so relaxing.  Everyone on the staff was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate the guests. We went out several times on excursions with Alejandro and had A  experiences. Don't bother booking water excursions in town. You can just book thru the resort. In December it was still raining most days, which made the water at the resort murky. However,  Alejandro took us to clear locations for amazing snorkeling! We will definitely return.

This property is magical. It's exactly as pictured. If you want to get away from it all this is your place. The staff couldn't be more gracious. One thing to note: No real beach here. you can swim in the water but no sand. luckily a water taxi makes a beach a ride away. Make sure to bring snacks and/or cash as there is no where nearby to get either. Five stars otherwise

The staff was friendly and helpful.  Rooms were spacious and nice.

Best experience ever. My family and I enjoyed ourselves at the hotel. Waking up to the sound of the ocean you can't ask for anything else. Staff went above and beyond. I can't wait to go back

We had a wonderful stay. Very quiet, beautiful Area. The meals at the restaurant were delicious and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend.

This was the exact place we were looking to find for our 30th anniversary.  The atmosphere at Eclypse was calming and zen like, so much fun staying in our private hut. Being able to swim right from your deck, and the surrounding grounds were fun to walk through and look for creatures. The staff was wonderful and very professional.

Very clean. Staffs are very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. They try their best to make a satisfactory stay.

Beautiful over the water bungalow family stay!

Overall, our stay was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have some dietary restrictions and they made sure to accommodate me. Room view was fabulous, it would be awesome it they had AC or at least a bigger fan in the room and a fan in the sitting area/second room. We also had a bat come in our room and that was terrifying so putting screens on the windows so you can sleep with the windows open would extremely helpful. After that night we, had to sleep with everything close so it was very hot. The team that took us out on an excursion was very nice and friendly.

Jumping into the clear water from your private bungalow each morning is wonderful. Great food and breakfast was included. On the downside the Old Bench is partying all night with the base traveling right into your bedroom. It’s a quiet retreat, if you want to party you need a water taxi which is $5 per person shared with others or $10 for just yourself. At night water taxi can go up to $20. Negotiate!

Beautiful place to stay

As a family with small children, we loved our stay and enjoyed being able to swim straight into the sea from our room. The holes in the room to feed the fish were great fun, and we enjoyed walking around the trail on the island looking for animals. The single beds were small so wouldn’t recommend for bigger children/adults. Breakfast was ok, but quite small. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it did feel a little overpriced for what it was. Also, the noise travelling over the water as mentioned in previous reviews is VERY loud on nights when there is a party going on.

Great bungalows over the water, loud at night.

I was with a party of eight including children during our stay. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, and the service was prompt. While we did not take advantage of any of the tours offered by the facility, we had lovely chats with staff members about things in the surrounding area, including the nature reserve on the property. The staff helped us find a sloth, as well as a red frog :-) the food served on site was delicious. We also took a vantage of the snorkeling gear. Well, it met our needs, if you want a clear view or the perfect fit I definitely recommend you bring your own.The accommodations in the room, met all of our needs and at all times, we felt safe.As far as surrounding accommodations/amenities, we did take a walk into old bank and enjoyed the cultural experience. I felt very thankful though to be staying at the bungalows as opposed to in town. I highly recommend this location.

The location is very unique and the sightseeing tours very good and affordable. I would refer to this hotel as more of an experience then a lodging. Cabins well maintained and spacious with nice swimming right off your balcony with tons of tropical fish. Staff friendly and easy to get water taxis for the many day trip options. Noise carries from the bars and restaurants across the water but I would not let that stop me from visiting this lovely resort.

The property is quaint, in a beautiful settings and provides relaxing Eco Bungalows with private water access, kayaks & paddle boards and a large self guided nature preserve.More importantly, the staff of Maca, Nico, Lila, Udi and all the others I don't have names for create the atmosphere of a first class five star resort while maintaining the human element.Next, the restaurant is small, open air and serves the best food we had. No need to bother making reservations in Bocas Town or Old Bank.Finally, to be fair bring a great pair of ear plugs for a peaceful night's sleep. The water taxi's (your only mode of transportation) and natives at the bars in Old Town are noisy.
