Inspired by the art in the hostel, i have decided to take the carving lesson that they offer  and Im happy i did!  It was a great experience :)  Recomanded!
The location is realy good and the staff are very nice.

A group of 5 of us traveled to Boquete for a long weekend and Arte Hostel was the perfect place to stay for our mini-adventures there. Both the private rooms and dorm rooms were simple and clean. The bathrooms were cleaned every day and there was hot water, as well. The common areas were nicely decorated with local art. Breakfast was included (pancakes, coffee, tea, and fruit) and there were plenty of markets around to buy your own food to cook from 7am into the evening. The location of the hostel was central. We were able to walk to restaurants, bars, etc very easily. 

David is a great host. He has a lot of knowledge about what to do in Boquete and in other regions of Panama. The hostel provides their own tours. We went to the hot springs and a local coffee farm, and they were both great! They also have wood carving classes that are run by David’s father. You can see his art in different parts of Boquete and inside the hostel. 

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I would highly recommend staying here and I would come back to stay here in a heart beat!

A Perfect Weekend in Boquete

The Hostal is very cute,clean and in the center of Boquete. The family who owns the Hostal was sooo nice and helped us with every question we had. 
The breakfast (Pancakes and fresh fruit) was good and free! 
Since it was raining a lot we felt pretty cold and would have loved a hot shower but unfortunately the water didnt want to heat up... 
If you go to Boquete I recommend staying with them for sure! 

Cute family owned Hostal

I really cant recommend this hostel in Boquete: Our double room was tiny, the matress extremely soft, the shared bathrooms were not too clean and the common areas are cramped. The worst thing was the communal kitchen, which was during our whole stay of 4 days disgustingly dirty (rotting food, wet & stinking towels etc).

Whatever you do, stay anywhere else but this place. There are tons of better options AND customer service. Apart from unprofessional, they are complete thieves. Do not use there services to go up to Baru either (We love Boquete) company.  There are 100% better options. Do you research and do not trust these people. Wether you are an expat or Panamanian, they will take advantage of you for any extra dollar possible. To keep it simple, they are untrustworthy. Do not waste your time or trip with these people.

Don’t do it.

I did not have the chance to stay there. I contacted them three times but did not really get a reply. Very poor customer service!
It’s ok if they do not have capacity but they could just tell instead of basically ignoring potential customer.
