Aparthotel El Montecarlo

We stayed in El Montecarlo for 1 day at first. After 1 day we liked it so much that we decided to stay 3 more nights. It was clean and quiet. No bugs and we had good air condition. We also had a small fridge in the room so you can brings some food if you want to.

We stayed in Bocas for the last 5 days and it was a pleasant one to stay with El Montecarlo. 

The room was very spacious, it had a double bed, 2 single beds, wardrobe and a small table with 2 chairs, we still got a lot of space with the above furnitures! Bathroom was clean and tidy, speedy wifi, air con worked very well. Staffs were very nice including the housekeeping ladies :) 

The Italian restaurant attached with the hotel served great breakfast and fresh juices, it located right next to a clean swimming pool which was very relaxing! 

It's in a quiet location, wasn't in downtown but only 10-15 mins walk which was acceptable to make sure to have a good night sleep :)  

I highly recommend this place as it priced reasonably and it got everything we need!

Quiet but convenient location to town, got everything we need :) 

Very pleasant stay

New Owner trying his best to renovate the apartment/hotel. Pool is bad, needs new tiles. Rooms are clean and comfy beds. Front desk needs improving. Most nights and even in the day time, there was never any one tending to the desk. We helped ourselves to our room key many times. Staff definately needs improving in order for this establishment to do well

New Owners just took over the Montecarlo. This place is in need of much repair.

This place is truly horrid.  We paid about 160 USD for the night - and its criminal that they charge that.  I'll add photos later, but wanted this review up asap.

The sheets were not clean, no joike - lipstick on them .  It is run down beyond words, there is a pile of garbage strewn all over the entry path.  The room is full of stains and broken furniture.  The noise is really bad.

Its not even a 1 star.  Don't stay there - or if you do - bring your own sheets .  We laid towels down to sleep on.

Terrible and should be shut down

I have slept in better hostels !!!!!!!. I had rented  a room for two a double beds. We added another person on our trip they charge  us another $30.00 a night. 3 twin beds we could hold hand  while we slept.We showed the manager that a room  with double bed with a twin couch large refrig for $5.00 more a night. The sheets had stain Blue ink and god know what else.The shower didn't work also the TV. The night manager didn't know the Wi-fi code.  No towels or soap.The restaurant had no bottle water for the two night we were, the food was terrible . I had better at Mac Donald's The place was not kept up the pictures they show were taken 20 years ago. I have travel all over  Costa Rica And Nicaragua for the last 5 years. The views had to been by the owner which is not friendly and  he says  people are lying so I took pictures of our room , the water damage they never change the wet sheets of the rules. sheets didn't fit which I guess some other people have. The grounds were not kept up
