Having come from a Serena hotel this one was a bit of a disappointment. The room was rather basic and not especially clean and comfortable. It's a long and badly maintained walk to the river side restaurant where the service was incredibly slow. We had to wait ages for a poor ( but enormous ) meal.
The situation is good but there must be better options in town.

A bit of a disappointment

We as a family are visiting this hotel third time since last five years and find it to be best in town after PC-Muzaffarabad. 
Neat and clean rooms with wash room, chilled air-conditioning with good room service. 
Internet working, staff is cooperative. Finest location beside Jhelum river.
Delicious meals with all kind of dishes, like BarbeQ, Kashmiri , Chinese and sea food with reasonable rates.

Excellent hotel with its location and delicious feasts

I started my journey from balakot, and before leaving balakot's hotel i called this hotel and asked about room occupancy and internet facility(as i had to submit my kids school work online) lady on other side confirmed that they hv good internet there, secondly she told me that as its off season so they are offering 25% discount.
I left balakot hotel in morning and reached there with in one and half hours, my very first disappointment was hotel location which was next to petrol pump, river view was also not so good as dust  were all around,  when i entered in hotel and reached to receptionist,  first she told me that she doesnt hv any room available and when i reminded her that i called you from balakot then she said we have only one delux and one standard room available but on my surprise she told me that she will not allow more than one mattress in delux room, but at the other hand she didnt have any problem putting two mattress in standard room ,i did not get this logic, i was travelling with my four kids age 12,8,5,and 3, so i wanted two mattress for elder kids.
First, this lady trapped me by saying on phone that its off season, given me idea that hotel is not full but when i reached there she started putting restriction one by one, when i saw changing her statements so quickly i also got worried and asked about internet she made me completely shocked by telling me that they dont have good internet in their hotel and if there will be rain, there will be no internet , i asked about phone data 4G,she said 4G working good here,so i thought no problem i will stay here and will use my phone data, but when i asked about food delivery in room ,she said we dont serve at room as kids spill tea and other drink at bed sheet, i understood this point but the way she said was completely in insulting way, girl on reception was completely ill mannered and not trained for this job what ever she was replying or responding, she was doing it without considering hotel reputation, even then i agreed and asked in that case where can we have food she replied right infront of main reception,  i was like scratching my head that time, i was ready to pay approx 8-10k and in return i was getting this, by the way she was also charging very high for extra mattress , when i showed my dissatisfaction she replied u can also have food in restaurants,  i went there to check bur it was dam cold,and smelly, when i was going to check restaurant high volume music was going on in the lawn for some function, finally i decided not to stay in that hotel, finally when i was in hotels parking and checked my both jazz and telenor sim, no data connection were available,  very weak signals were appearing for few second and then disappearing
In my opinion as per condition and location this hotel does not deserve more than 4500 rupees including everything , so i would not suggest any one to stay in this hotel, if some one has to stay then i would prefer them to stay in balakot which is very near good scenery and charge very less with much more facilities with this hotel, hotel cordillera resort is one best option

Not worth Staying

One of best hotels in muzaffarabad.food is good.place is awesome .At night sitting beside bank of river where you can see reflection of lights in water and enjoying quality food is awesome experience.

Good place with good food

When i was in Muzaffarabad, this hotel was all booked. From all the reviews i got from locals, this is perhaps the best Hotel after PC in the city. We were told that the restaurant in the hotel serve kashmiri food so we decided to drop by. When i reached the place, i was very very impressed by its location. The restaurant is just next to canal. The food was good and reasonably priced. Would love to stay here on my next trip. The restaurant was very crowded and service could have been better but the weather and location made up for all that.

Great Location

By the river, this hotel offers parking and security. The restaurant is lively and serves different kinds of food with a nice quality.
The room is not very clean, door was broken, insects inside and the internet connection was very poor. Air Conditioning was silent and good. 

Bring your ear plugs

The first room we viewed had a musty smell as if it had not been aired for a fairly long time. The second room was much better. With double beds and a decent view over the grounds leading to the Neelum River which runs along the back of the hotel, the location is great.

The manager was helpful and we were informed beforehand that the price of 7500 includes taxes etc. Pakistani breakfast for two is also included in this price. 500 are extra mattress charges, although the room would be really cramped if you availed that option. But for a small family on budget, that is the only option. We were informed that all rooms are the same size, so no suites available.

There was ample parking space and the facilities were well laid out.

Best place to stay the night with your friends...beautiful river side location, at night you can see indian soldiers flashing lights signaling each other.
