We really loved this place.  It was really quiet and had a heritage feel.  Check in was an unusual procedure but the stay well worth it.  The bedding was so comfortable, black out curtains kept the room dark for sleeping, scandinavian decor.  We had a kitchenette and could buy our food just up the street fat the mall. It was a quick walk from the train station.

Really nice bar in the basement, good staff, nice lager and popcorn as a snack. Quick service and overall a nice tavern to socialize and chill out at. Best bar we found in Narvik. Would highly recommend.

Cannot complain for the price. Basically you are renting a room above a cafe with a communal shower/toilet, kitchen, tv area upstairs. It's aimed at the backpack fraternity - There were several groups when I stayed. The room itself is small - bed, thin table, chair. Plenty of plugs for electrical items. It's quite stuffy in the heat - even with windows open.  You're also a few yards from the main road, which can be noisy. There are two shopping malls within 5 minutes' walk, the bus station is 10 minutes away, the train 15, so very central. Above all I paid less than I would for a single night stay in any of the main hotels... for two nights...

For the price I cannot complain

Strictly 3pm the rooms are ready as that is when you get your keycode emailed to you. I went for a Coffee 1st as I arrived by Bus from Bodo at 1.30pm (The Bus ride fantastic! - Do it!.Lots of Fjords and a simple boat ride of 25 minutes). The Guesthouse entrance and corridor up to stairs was a "maintenance mess". So much clutter. Housekeeping staff didn't acknowledge a smile when I saw them - they looked stressed more than anything. The Kitchen and lounge area was clean and tidy and surprisingly my Single Room (205) was small but had a nice comfy bed and very basic, with extremely thin walls.  The shared bathroom was nice and simple - with cheap branded products from "X-tra". Sadly, no complimentary Tea/Coffee or Milk provided which would of been a nice touch.  I saw no staff - no welcomes, no nothing - probably in the bar working downstairs. Best bit about this place was the location - slam bang in the middle of Narvik and train station just a 10 minute stroll. I slept well and Wifi was good! I found this place quite impersonal but for  399 Norwegian Kronur is was the best bargain ever to rest my head for the night, although expect some noise til 1am on a weekday from the downstairs pub. Walls are so thin, so I heard someone snore so loud for a while. AND you have to make your own bed here! Oh I had to laugh! Heyho..399 Kronur!!..Wow! A hotel is stupidly expensive if you are on your own in Norway!

..A Deluxe Hostel..Just go and rest your head, that is it! It is what I had expected for 399NOK

We stayed in the family studio and were a bit out of luck because there was a group of very loud people living upstairs from us and it seemed as if they were up all night, going down for a smoke and up again. With thin walls and an old wooden staircase you couldn’t sleep for a minute. 
The room itself was small and okay for a short stay, the TV didn’t work and you had to put all the bed linen on by yourself which I think should be included for 100€/night. We switched to another guesthouse after that.

Room okay for one night

The apartment is fairly basic, but heating and warm water is not an issue.
Earlier reviews spoke about paper sheets. Those seem to have been replaced with regular sheets, albeit one has to make their own bed.
The reason why I rated this place 2* is due to its state of cleanliness and the items that are listed, but not available.
The cooker did not work, there was no washing machine (however there was a connection area), (didn’t try the tv), cups, glasses, plates, ... are barely workable with a mixture of some odd items available, ...
Upon entering, we found used tissues, cotton buds etc near the bed. The microwave was so dirty that I decided to give it a good clean before making use of it.
Happy the stay was just for a night.
Nearest shopping center (including a spar, the better option from the Coop nearer to the train station) is a few hundred metres away opposite the Fish Market.
Early check in, from the 3pm timing is not an option, as you face a locked door and are reminded that check in is 3pm. You will receive a msg with check-in instructions in your email, so make sure you have connectivity!

Dirty and ill functioning apartment

This place is incredibly shady. They charged me for the room, and then charged me again for no reason. When my card declined due to insufficient funds they drained my debit card dry claiming that I still had to pay for my room??? When I told them about this they sent me a message calling me stupid and a fool. Highly unprofessional and a fraud. Do NOT stay here unless you want your vacation to be muddled with headaches.

Avoid at all costs!

I’m glad I decided not to stay here. I gave them a message requesting an earlier check in as my train from Sweden to Norway would come at around 1 am in the morning. Needless to say, I come to the place and figured check in would be smooth but no. I waited outside and even called them but to no avail. There was no envelope with my name and in the end I had to rough it outside. Such poor communication and lack of customer service.
