Hotel Don Carmelo

We stayed here one night and the manager is really nice, he arranged multiple shuttle services for us so we could easily go around. Very good place to stay. Also the breakfast was delicious. We will stay another night tho.

Staff very friendly n very helpful the owner is nice person n hotel very close to market so if u have plain to shop just walk distance we enjoy come back to see smiling face n friendly staff sumtime they go above n beyond to help u out 

What a great sercive! We landed at Managua after 4 days on Little Corn Island, and it was so nice knowing that someone was waiting for us to bring us to a nice and calm place where we could relax before our 24 hours of traveling back home.

We only spent one night at Don Carmelo, but it did us good. 4 weeks of A/C-less hostels made our room look like a wedding suite to us. It was so quiet and cool.

The beds are comfy, the bathroom is a bit on the small size. But hey, you're not staying in there all day. A/C and TV were nice features after 4 weeks if backpacking ;) The transport to the hotel from the airport and vice versa is great. Even at strange flight times, the staff is ready to help you to catch your flight.

However, it is Managua. You don't go out for a stroll or to look for a nice restaurant easily. The staff offers help with a delivery service, which works great! Great place for a night when you want to catch your flight from MGA!

Excellent Shuttle Service

Very nice

Perfect for lay-over!

When arriving at the airport the minivan with a/c was waiting for us, what was nice after a long flight! When arriving at the hotel at 10PM the lady at the front desk didn't speak English. She was friendly though. We didn't have hot water at the shower and the bathroom was really small. The 2nd bed in te room was really crappy but the bed we slept on was comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty. Luckely there was someone who spoke English at the front desk in the morning. We also got a free ride to the bus transfer of Managua. 
In the surrounding of the hotel is really like nothing to do. 

Overall it is a fine hotel to stay for 1 night. 

Tip: get your cordobas from the ATM at the airport.

Fine stay

We booked this hotel in advance to have a good night after a long flight and it turned out to be a big disappointment. The only good thing about it was the shuttle service that picked us up at the airport. This worked well and it is the only reason why I still give 2 points cause at the hotel we got a room that was so small, dark and uncomfortable that a prison cell seems kind of attractive in comparison. The room was just a little bigger than the bed (you can ardly move) and there was no window or any daylight at all. The service is alright but be prepared to speak spanish since noone speaks a single word of english. Breakfast was small but ok. Overall one of the more expensive and definetly the worsed accommodation of our 4 week trip. Therefore I don't understand the good reviews (maybe we just had the broom closet and all the other rooms are just beautiful but I doubt it)
