WOW! Everything about this place is fabulous!  The upscale rooms, bedding and so on is peeeeerfect! Not to mention the pool and surroundings. Alexa is the the perfect welcome to your stay,  welcoming you warmth and open arms❣ thank you Congo 🏝😎🥂

Really nice hostel with directly a good vibe. Food is delicious and directly if you arrive the owner recommends you places to go and helps you around. Feels directly like a second home. One of the best stays during my trip so far thanks to Roman and Barbara. Saludos, Anne

Highly recommend this hostel! Great location in Myogalpa near the ferry, comfortable rooms, nice common area. The owners, Roman and Barbara, were two of the nicest people we’d ever met! They know everything about Ometepe and gave us so much info on everything on the island. They were also able to really give us advice on what to do and what to miss, and they were able to advise us on our transport to and from the island and helped organise transport once we were on the island too! Really friendly people, we really enjoyed their company. Also the food was incredible! Best food we’d had on our trip so far, couldn’t recommend highly enough. There are a lot of insects hanging around but Ometepe is a jungle island so there’s no avoiding that and every hostel would be the same. Great hostel, once again amazing people and food, can’t stress just how pleasant it made our time in Ometepe.

Excellent hostel with really lovely family. Very chilled, calm and safe place with great food and fantastic cocktails. Highly recommend the ‘Honey Bee’. Roman went above and beyond with recommendations and helping us to organize various car trips and bookings. Could not recommend this hostel more!

Roman & Barbura are the owners of this family run hostel that is amazing. It is located about a 15 minute walk from the port and the town were all the restaurants are BUT highly recommend to eat at the hostel. The food is great especially the sweet and sour chicken… WOW no words 😮‍💨🤤. Roman was very helpful throughout our stay, helped us rent a quad for the day that is directly through a company so no way of getting scammed! Really enjoyed our 3 night stay 😊

Roman and Barbara, the owners of this place, are fabulous people. The facilities are great and people are super friendly. They can arrange tours, scooter or any facilities required during the stay.

There is also a restaurant and bar for one to use.

While the above are all good things, there is also some points to note.

The place is about 20 minutes walk from the Mogolapya port. Post sunset, parts of the road get dark. So if you plan to walk i either direction, carry some form of flashlight.

There is no communal kitchen, not that it mattered to me, but if you were looking at making things by yourself, this isn't the place.

Overall, it's a great place to stay, great vibe and fantastic hosts.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at life is good hostel. Roman and Barb are very hospitable hosts with a wealth of knowledge of the area. 
Delicious food is available on site, with fresh ingredients and locally sourced produce. There is also a bar with cocktails and cheap beer.

We stayed here as family of 5 peeps (incl. 3 teen daughters) for 5 nights.
We had a great time! Roman and Barbs are very warm and hospitable people, always willing to help and advize. The rooms are very clean and the Bohemian inspired kitchen is excellent. We actually never had a reason to eat anywhere else....after a whole day running around the Island it was great to enjoy an ice-cold beer or cocktail (for friendly local prices!!) and relax at the bar while the amazing food was being prepared. 

Even though I am not a typical backpack Hostel traveller, I would recommed this Hostel to everyone!! Best Hostel by far on Ometepe without a doubt. Enjoy!!

Really wonderful hostel. Barbara and Roman are great hard working hosts who help to cook great meals and give good advice. They can organize almost anything for you at decent prices. Makes it easy to travel to Ometepe. Food is good and a nice change. Atmosphere is quiet and cozy.

Hostel Life is (really really) good!!

This hostel is great- Roman who owns it always has great advice and a story to tell! The food in the restaurant is amazing and you can buy beers and water. It’s slightly out of town but Tuktuks are cheap. Roman helped us organise renting a scooter and they can even do laundry! The facilities were fairly basic but clean. Unfortunately the fans in our dorm weren’t very good so it was hard to sleep, especially with loud music from reception until midnight and starting at 7.30am. But otherwise it was a great hostel!

Roman is the best. Huge thanks to him for all the help. Just arrive and he will help sort you out with everything you need for your stay. He knows the ins and outs of the island and offers great advice. The hostel offers great value for money with awesome rooms. Also the meal we had there was amazing. Highly recommend this hostel.

These guys help us out when we need, they saved our ass when we ran out of gas and they didn´t ask anything back. Well, they did ask us to joind them for drinks and dinner. We had already anothe booking with a lovely family too but the show us arround the place and looked amazing, an also homemade food and great selection of drinks.

We had really good time with Barbara and Roman, and i´m shure anyone who visit their place will too!!.
