We really love this place. Friendly accommodation in a wonderful tranquil setting within walking distance of Whangaroa harbour. Idyllic. Lovely people and really should be part of your trip to this part of north NZ. Already planning to go back. Would definitely encourage visitors to take a fishing trip. So much fun. Local fishing is amazing.

As soon as you enter Whangaroa Harbour you enter Paradise. The colours of the bay make you feel like being on a tropical island.

Lisa and her pets are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The whole accomodation is very clean and tasteful. We loved having all our meals out on the amazing deck, hearing the birds and cicada’s from the bush and looking out on the ocean. Such a special and peaceful place!

How amazing having Lisa’s partner Scott providing excellent fishing trips almost at the doorstep of the accomodation! He is going out of his way for all his clients every time we have gone out on his boat!

Lisa and Scott made us feel like family and we cannot think of a better spot for spending active family holidays. 

Incredible beaches are close by, bring the surfboards  and snorkling gear along!

Older style motel that is nicely renovated with comfortable modern facilities. Very reasonable pricing also. Awesome spot to relax and go fishing. Nice host that is very helpful and friendly. Dog friendly is another pro. Its off the main road so not too busy. Would highly recommend.

We have been coming here for the last 3 years and have absolutely loved everything! Lisa is the most lovely lady and will often go above and beyond to ensure that her guests have the best holiday experience 😊
There are lovely outdoor tables and 2 bbq’s so the guests can soak in the most beautiful scenery.
Lisa adopts rescue dogs and the lodge is pet friendly! Everyone is usually very respectful of other guests but it’s so lovely to see the dogs 😊
I would recommend the lodge for a relaxing holiday and an awesome fishing spot just at the bottom of the driveway!!!

2 couples stayed here for 2 nights. Great location and Lisa (host) was very accommodating and helpful.  Good size rooms, very clean, wonderful views over harbour.  Nice shared bbq area.  Would definitely stay here again and recommend highly.

A quiet, relaxing place with beautifully stunning views, friendly staff and surroundings that were a pleasure to be part of.
Enjoyed listening to the water that was seemingly just below us, the atmosphere of being so close to the ocean, and being able to breathe that wonderful salt air was very uplifting.

Upstairs room that was warm, comfortable and had everything we needed for a family of 4. Fabulous views from all the rooms and great outdoor area to use.
Lisa was very friendly and welcoming by phone and on arrival.  

Incredible place and staff. Especial thanks to Aline, she made us feel welcome and at home. We spend a week in this place and it was a wonderful experience. i definetly recommend any traveler to stay at the Lodge!

We just loved staying here. I can't praise this accommodation enough. We had the lower level apartment near the Barbeque area and it was spacious, light, beautifully equipped, stunningly furnished, spotlessly clean, and a great bed.
We received a warm welcome and were inspired by the attention to detail shown in this fabulous lodge. 
We very much enjoyed going to the fishing lodge nearby too where we had a very nice meal and enjoyed the ambience of the location on the water. 
We wished we could have stayed longer and we will be back for sure. Thank you Lisa and Darrell. We adored staying here. Pauline and Keith.

Paradise!!

Relaxing and peaceful

takes your breath away!

Spent a peaceful 2019 at this peaceful place. Work up to a beautiful harbour view on New Year day. What a way to begin the year...
Lisa the hostess is very nice and friendly. Whangaroa is the Marlin Fishing Capital of NZ, though we didn’t catch any Marlin when we went out fishing. We had a great time enjoying the open waters of the Pacific Ocean. 

New Years Eve and New Years Day 2019

Absolutely fantastic...

We arrived in Whangaroa in the late afternoon with no accomodation booked and scored a room here. The welcome was warm and friendly. The rooms are spacious, well appointed  and recently renovated with contemporary touches. The room overlooked the bay and was stunning with million dollar views. The cost per night was very reasonable. There is a restaurant within walking distance from the motel. The only constructive criticism I may have is there’s no fans and we were there during a hot spell when it would have been appreciated.  Accomodation options are limited in the area and would recommend a stay at Pacific Harbour Lodge
