24 reviewsThis is a granad old building that formerly was a nursing home and is now an upmarket backpackers. It is well maintained and clean. We stayed in room 3 which was handy to the entrance and carpark and also to the dining room for breakfast. Our room was en suite and looked out over the tree tops. The owner, Theo, is very welcoming and so are his staff. I appreciated the reminder e-mail. There is also a guest kitchen wnere you can make a hot drink. Hikurangi is very well located and close to the CBD. Very affordable. very quiet.
