Read many reviews about this hotel and there were some negative ones. However, we had a great experience. The hotel is close to the town centre with a supermarket a few minutes walk away. On arrival there was ample parking, and the reception staff were very cordial and efficient. The room whilst 'compact' was clean and perfectly suitable for our purposes. The company is in the process of refurbishing the hotel and the newly updated rooms are absolutely up to standard. We were very pleasantly surprised at how quiet our room was (Lake facing) and we heard no noise of any consequence. Check out was as efficient as check in and we left happy with the value we received for our money. Could see little reason for the negative reviews. Perhaps some travellers were placed in non-refurbished rooms? We would happily stay here again.
