Truly found this motel at last moment after browsing throughout the town where it's really hard to find the affordable and convenient accommodation. The old guy in the front desk was very helpful and calm. It's close to beach and fun park which made our family holiday awesome.
Will definitely recommend for families specialy with small kids they do have swimming pool too.

Clean and comfortable. Airy and plenty of light from the sky lights. Close to everything.  Good kitchen and cooking equipment. Comfy couch. Comfy beds and plenty of clean towels and tea towels. Very pleased with all aspects of the accommodation and the host. Would stay here again as a preference.

The staff was friendly and the rooms incredibly clean with comfortable beds. 

If you want to know what to do around the area just stop in and ask David. 

He recommended the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary and the Abel Tasman Sea Shuttle both of which were time well spent.  

The beach, shops and restaurants are within c a couple blocks and the rooms have a small fridge and burners so you can save a few $$ by eating in.

I tend to think motels with
Coffee Plungers are superior. Our room at The Arrow had a generous plunger, comfortable beds, generous showers and a lovely outdoor area including BBQ and a great wooden table. If you don’t feel like cooking the motorcamp just through the gate has a place you can get takeaway style meals and coffees. 
The beach is 5-10 minutes away. 
It’s true it’s under the flight path for Nelson Ariport along with all the motels near the beach.
The motel owner was extremely helpful and gave us a ride to town. 
Good value for money. If you have difficulty with stairs ask for a ground floor room as they are quite steep. 

We stayed here for 3 nights as a family of 4. We had a two room apartment that was clean, spacious and had an extremely well stocked kitchen. There was a small pool on site as well as a free laundry. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful if he tried. We would most definitely return here if we were to ever be in Nelson again. 

Great stay. David was a fantastic host. Free airport pick-up. Nothing was too much trouble.

David went the extra mile for everything.

Lovely, clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to the beach for long walks, also close to lots of things for the kids to do. Nice bbq area and plenty parking. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

My mother and I have just had a weekend at the Arrow Motel Apartments.  The owner has obviously put a lot of effort into upgrading this older motel.  It was spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped.  We would thoroughly recommend this motel to anyone who wants a decent motel at a decent rate.

We stayed here over New Years. Friendly, helpful owner who was keen to make our stay enjoyable. Good facilities. We had a studio co-joined to a 1 bedroom apartment - so basically a two bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms. Right outside our rooms was a nice outdoor area - an outdoor table under a tree with a nice, clean bbq nearby. Pool was clean. We had a good time.

What a fantastic find for our extended family holiday. David was so accomodating in fitting all the different size families. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The picnic table and bbq area under the shade of a lovely tree. The pool was the perfect size for the kids. And the location was perfect with a back gate leading to the campground shop and beach. The pool towels and filtered water at reception were a lovely touch. As was the laundry powder and free access to the machines. We would not hesitate in coming back and wish David and family all the best with their new business. They are definitely doing everything right!

Comfortable stay and easy access to beach.

We stayed a couple of nights here, the perfect location for us. Just 5 mins walk from the ocean, and only 100m from the bike path. We arrived early at 13.00, but were able to check in. Manager David upgraded us to an upstairs suite, with a big kitchen/living room, good sized bedroom with comfy bed and big bathroom, with a space-age shower cabinet. There was a good view westwards towards the ocean, and a small balcony, but we didn't use it as the weather wasn't great.

Great Value Motel in Great Location

Good location but not right on the beach - 10 minutes walk away and all amenities are also a fair distance away so my elderly inlaws had to be driven everywhere, with nothing within their walking distance. Rooms are dated but reasonably well equipped. Parking spaces are small, designed for small cars, not the huge SUVs and trucks that we all wallow around in now. Host David and his team are great, and go out of their way to help. High-speed WiFi, hundreds of Sky channels, outdoor table and a BBQ area made for a great stay. Warm and friendly holiday accommodation - recommended.

Home from home 

We stayed at Arrow Motel Apartments for two nights on our recent visit to Tahunanui  Beach. This is very tidy accommodation in a quiet location. The host, Dave, was very friendly and keen to help. In fact, when we had left an item at the apartments on our departure we really appreciated Dave contacting us to let us know (this is the first time any accommodation I have stayed in has done this).

Perfect for Families

We chose this hotel as it was close to Tahuna campsite where my husband and I stayed. My mother and young nephew and niece stayed at the motel. We were greeted by the lovely David he was so kind and helpful, as were all the staff. The room was big enough for the kids to run about, it was exactly what we hoped for. We used all the facilities from the bbq area, laundry room, mini playground, pool. Great value for money and there was even a gate that led to our campsite which was handy. Everything was clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this motel. David and staff have done a great job of turning this place around.
