Martinborough Experience B&B

Arrived to find all the rooms open with post-it notes on the windows with our name on. We were able to move straight in without fuss. Bikes were available to borrow if you wanted to go out on them. The room was lovely and comfortable with a large jacuzzi bath. It was all very romantic. Walking distance into Martinborough allowed easy access to restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Sharon greeted us on arrival and showed us to the well-appointed king bedroom. She was very helpful in recommending places to explore and where to eat. The bed was comfortable and the extra sitting space was nice. The breakfast is there in the room - fridge, toaster, tea kettle with cereal, fruit, milk, toast, tea and coffee supplied, which we found to be typical in many of our accommodations in NZ. We also got to meet and hold a 4 week old lamb that she had rescued.

We were very pleased with our stay at Martinborough Experience.  There are 3 rooms at the B&B and we stayed in room #2.  Pictures and description on web site are accurate.  Everything was in working order and super clean.  Breakfast is provided in the refrigerator in your room for you to enjoy at your convenience the next morning.  TA does not list a Hotel Class for the B&B.  I would rate it between a 3 and 4 star property.

The B&B is located in a residential area about a 10 minute walk to the town center.  It's not close enough to walk to the nearby vineyards, but complementary bikes are provided and it's a short ride to most.

Sharon is a great innkeeper.  She provided prompt responses to my emailed questions.  She even reserved the aforementioned bicycles for us and had them ready for us even though she was away upon our arrival.

This was a wonderful stay. Sharon explained everything to us with regard to the room and also the wine routes and provided a map and directed us to the bicycles which were in good order. She even provided the information of an event happening that evening. The room was in excellent condition, nicely decorated with welcome chocolates which was large and a wet room shower bathroom . We had a throughly enjoyable afternoon cycling around the wineries. We then visited the local shop and had our evening meal on the barbecue which was good. Sharon provides a very good continental breakfast in your room. The x3 rooms are totally separate to the main house. It was lovely to sit and drink outside in the evening and also to eat our breakfast. Good value and good quality.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this property. The room leant more towards the basic rather than the luxurious, but still had everything we needed, and was perfectly and accurately represented by the photos. Location is quiet, yet close to the town centre.

Real value came with Sharon's friendliness and very helpful recommendations for dining. Also, I got the date wrong on the original booking, which she handled without fuss or making me feel awkward. Much appreciated.

Good motel - smallish room but all you need for 1 or 2 night stay.  Decent continental breakfast provided. Parking in front of the unit makes bag carrying easy. The 'boss' was on hand and proactively helpful.  Good location to get around Martinborough - on foot or bike or car.

Property is in a quiet neighborhood, and surrounded by a beautiful garden. We had the room with the jacuzzi - nice! And the host could not be more friendly and helpful. The wifi is horrible - but this is all over the city we are told. Breakfast is basic but complete, provided in or atop the fridge. Lots of parking.
