Thank you for being great hosts. We arrived a little after hour and was accommodated and given a small tour of the apartment. The property was clean and large with views overlooking the pasture and farmland. It was always nice and quiet. Appreciate the breakfast items prepared although we did not get to fully utilize it.

Very peaceful and apartment is super spacious and well supplied with everything you need to relax.

We had the detached apartment unit.  It was perfect in every respect, especially fully furnished and equipped.

Shona was a great host and we loved the view including the sunrise!  Beautiful landscape

Owners were very pleasant to visit with. They looked out to keep us provisioned.

Beautiful place! Perfect for our family of 6 before heading to hobbiton .  Enjoyed our night here.  Great views lovely hosts . So very kind to our children .

If you would like to stay at a working cattle farm, then this is for you, as you can observe various farm animals from a distance, and appreciate the peacefulness of the land.Closest to Hobbiton (15 minute drive or less).

Great place to stay that’s in striking range of hobbiton!  Your only direct neighbors are the cows. Friendly host lives up the road.

This was a great place with several cozy touches.  Great place to stay if you are going to Hobbiton.

Very friendly welcome from Shona. Nice little studio apartment with first breakfast kindly provided. View from the kitchen window breathtakingly beautiful - the farm landscape framed by the lovely flowers in the garden. No wifi in the apartment itself, although it is available at reception - but I had adequate mobile data reception so just stuck with that.

The studio apartment was perfect for our short stay in the area.  It was well appointed and so quiet.  It was a short drive to Hobbiton for our tour and felt like we were already in the shire.  We could easily drive to Cambridge for any meals or provisions.  I recommend Kauri Lodge as a great stay in the area.

If you are going to Hobbiton this wonderful farm is perched on the crest of an undulating valley with perfect views of sunset. The bed is comfortable, the apartment is spacious and the family who own it are warm and welcoming. Travel a beautiful winding back country road for 20 mins to get to Hobbiton. Loved it

This is such a wonderful place to stay! Very comfortable, quiet, in a gorgeous setting on a farm. Shona, the host, is very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast provisions are ample and having a full kitchen is really nice. We stayed in the studio unit, which is quite large and has a gorgeous view out the back. Plus, only 15 minutes from Hobbiton, an hour to the Waitomo glow worms, 15 minutes from Cambridge, which is a sweet little town. Many other beautiful places are nearby. It's such a cosy, relaxing retreat from the world. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful countryside refuge

The location is very good for me to visit the Movie Set. The room is spacious. I particularly like the well-equipped kitchen. Breakfast and snacks are already available in the kitchen. The farm looks great. It is a regret that I did not have time to walk around. I should have stayed here longer so that I can enjoy the life in a big piece of green farm. Jim and Libby are friendly and nice. Thank you very much.
