Such a nice place! Located on the beach and just one road back from Akaroa's main street, this motel is ideal. The beach outside the hotel is stony, but just a couple of hundred yards to the left is a sandy beach which you can easily walk to. Our large, clean and well-appointed upstairs room had plenty of space, a double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. There was a flat screen TV, good WI-FI, a coffee table, settee, table for eating and working and a heater for colder days. The kitchen had everything you might need (microwave, hob, toaster, kettle, fridge) but no oven. there was also a DVD player and DVD's to rent if you wanted. Limited hanging space and even more limited drawers for clothes were the only drawbacks. Keilie on reception could not have been more helpful. We did try the spa which was fun too!
