We keep coming back to this resort because of its location! The houses are all behind the dunes and a 2-10 min walk will bring you on the beach. The sea is on one side and the Veerse meer ( inland lake) on the other side! The lake is huge very popular for sailing and windsurfing (both boats and boards can be rented locally). The bigger houses have a sauna and bubble bath which we find ideal esp if the weather lets us down. Most houses have a good size garden and offer a fair bit of privacy. Bad weather seems to blow over this area and we often have fantastic holidays. Nearby mediaval towns as Middelburg, Veere, Goes and Zierikzee offer great architecture, walks, markets, shops and restaurants. We love cycling in this (flat:)open landscape. The light apparently is perfect for painting, and many great painters spent time in Domburg because of it. The sunsets are spectacular, not just on the beach and the pink-orange background deserves to be photographed. In short; there is something for everyone. If you book directly and early, you might receive a discount; a early-booking discount, 55 + discount (not in high season) or young-family discount. It brings the price down by several hundreds at least. and yes the houses are still not cheap, but in our opinion they have a lot to offer. As far as interiors go; the individual owners' taste will differ so some appeal more than others; they all have a guaranteed level of standard/comfort though so the risk in minimal.
