My father and I travelled to the Netherlands to attend a funeral for a late family member lost in World War 2, this lovely hotel was recommended to us by one of the locals involved in the funeral proceedings. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner Andre who checked us in quickly and smoothly and showed us to our very clean twin room. We were offered the wifi password and shown our way around the hotel. After a day of travelling we were hungry and food was offered at at time to suit us, we had a look at the extensive menu which was also very well priced. Due to the nature of the funeral, it was being covered by Dutch TV and my father and I were to be interviewed, once again, the owner Andre was very accomodating when it came to the media attending the hotel to speak to us. Each morning we were greeted with a beautiful continental breakfast, a selection of breads, hams and cheese and the freshest of boiled eggs straight from the chickens kept out the back. When it came to checking out, Andre came to our room and asked if we would like a lift to the nearest bus stop to catch our bus to the city of Zwolle, not many hotels offer this, going the extra mile to help out customers. I cannot fault our stay at this wonderful hotel, we are planning to return to Heerde in the near future and will no doubt be looking to stay here again!
